Anyway Chotto-Komaru was one of the people that made me want to make nice effects way back, and I see he's still improving them even today.

Yeah, Chotto-Komaru is one of the few creators who can still impress me visually wise, and this Ryu is no exception. I really like all the modification he brought to him. Downside is that he's quite unbalanced, as he doesn't seem to have much of a dampener, and that he gains power VERY VERY quickly, making him able to chain into his supers like crazy.

Also, I can't perform Kaze no Ken (a leaf appears, but no super is performed. I tried it as a counter too, nothing).

Well, this year the page only says something about databases, so I guess we should not a not add this page to any database... but the news could be fine since what Chotto komaru's readmes say is kinda very old.... asked to news mods from other sites and they kinda tell me the same....

But if there's any prob I'll just dump it I guess...


Also, start+ the green palette (whatever button was) is giving me errors here, the character remains in the air when you press up....

When the leaf appears after performing the initial command, you have to parry an attack.
It almost an instant kill.

And Reppuu Jinrai Shou, the initial dash punch goes through projectiles.
Good against Touhou characters.

EDIT: I did Kaze no Ken against an enemy performing an aerial attack. Parried it, Mugen Crashed.

Anyways ... um.  I think that this Ryu's a real find.  Not that Ryu in general isn't something to always be like "HEY!!" to ... but this one is pretty cool.  Love the SFEX voice ... the only gripe I have is his QCF kick move ... ?? ... but hey that makes him semi-original.  Nice effects and color seperation ... it wants to be pots's Ryu ... kidding.  lol I'm out.

He seems like he could be a good Ryu with some damage dampening and if his parries were fixed, among other things. I've just looked at his ai fight and he parries way more than even other parry whores like the older versions of Alex's Gouken and MG Murrow's Shin Akuma.

This Ryu is the most gimmicky piece of crap Ryu I have seen in a long time.  The concept is very cool but what the FUCK is with that Hokuto Shinken punch that OHKOs you?  Retarded.

supposed to be the kaze no ken...Reu's Evil Ryu has something similar in concept but executed much better.

EDIT: and he also tends to go through specials and supers and just shoryuken the opponent. I'm trying to find the kaze no ken and nerf that bullshit but I can't find it in the CNS.

There's so much more that Chotto could do with his work.  I never really see that many updates when he does "update".  All I ever do see are tons of flash. Literally.  It covers up the whole damn screen.
