Everyone's tugging at my skirt to look into this lol

* You need to work on the animations. There are several Neo Geo compatible emulators that allow you to advance frame by frame. Use those to assist in getting your animations accurately. It was the first big thing I noticed off and I didn't even play the first samurai shodown in ages prior to evaluating this Ukyo. For visual reference

Getting accurate timings not only helps moves work and look better but can be useful for things like frame data as well.

* You really need to work on your throws. I know they're not the easiest part of coding but compare the original game to how you did it and you'll see you can not only make the throws look better but work better. Here's another visual demonstration


* You forgot to replace his KFM whiff sounds for his air normals.

* Blood sparks are delayed because there is no Ignorehitpause = 1 on their explod codes. Remember, they spawn on movehit so it's important that you have them ignore hitpauses!

It's really rough and not all that good but there are some promises of potential. Like how you remembered to implement guard recoil states and that Samurai Shodown doesn't allow crouching while running.

I tested it a couple days ago (Ukyo being one of my all time favs I couldn't just pass it by). Pretty much the same sentiment; didn't say anything 'cause I'm not nearly as good with feedback.

@ironjw:
Just study the actual game a bit more and you'll see what should be fixed. I'd love to see improvements on this.
