A new sprite resouce that I recently discovered is the yabuse saturn emulator. It allows you to disable layers which makes sprite ripping almost too easy. The Saturn had some intersting games and a couple unique 2d fighting games. Above is a screenshot fom Battle Monsters with the backgrounds disabled.

guardian heroes is ok, though the sprites are small, glden axe is pointless as teh arcade version is perfectly ripable with frame skipping and individual object disabling; i will take a look at princess crown.
