Sayo from Negima

Hello, I have done a bit of sprite modification and creation on my spare time, and I was ecstatic to find Mugen which primarily takes sprites and brings them to life in fast-paced fight matches. However, I was slightly disappointed when I could only find one character from the Negima series... Recently, I have been working on Sayo, the ghost girl from Negima. I was wondering if any of you all wouldn't mind helping me finish her up and create some sprites with me. I was also wondering if any of you are currently working on the other Negima characters. I will submit pictures of my further progress so far if you like, just ask.

  • does this look like the face of mercy?
Separate the flames to a separate sprite, in mugen you can animate them as explods, they dont need to be in the same file as the stance images.

I am having some trouble with sprite positioning... it keeps putting her too high up into the air when she should be firmly planted on the ground. Also, how exactly do I make the explods?

Could someone explain exactly how I'm supposed to make the attack animations and such? Everyone keeps talking in technical Mugen jargon...

you might try to concentrate on having good animations first, coding will be rather easy after that.

Thanks for the advice... But that is exactly my problem! I don't know exactly how to create the animations for my character's attacks. Most of the sprites are already done, with only a few variations left (such as jump-back, hop, dash, and special-attack sprites)
