I would do the akuma sprite without the glow, and set the glow up as a seperate sprite, add some transparency to it and you shouldn't go so far over the limit on the purple that you get discolouration.

This how far i am currently this akuma is still needs alot of work

yea i don't wanna make it too purple so your saying just a glow on it's layer own should be enough plus transparencies?

Yeah. Should be fine that way. Just remember, blur on black BG and A transparency will make the black invisible.

Sorry for some reason sprites used on the menu are horribly doubled in size. : \

What doubled well i guess i need to work on resizing the image. So if my image is 500 pixels i height mugen doubles it to 1000pixels?
This is my pic i'm talking bout

What size do you reccomend i change it too so it doesn't lose too much quality

Mugen's default res is 320x240. And that looks a little like a vector image which should resize cleanly. I don't know anything about mugen doubling the size of things on the main menu. If you put in a big sprite it's going to stay a big sprite. By 320x240, that's the display resolution, not the size. Doubleres allows the pixels to compress. A sprite designed for 320x240 will look the same whether mugen is single res, double res, 320x240 or 640x480. Set your sprite up in that sort of range and it will work correctly.
