Oh, the planet in the background looks great though.

The backdrop is fucking fantastic and there's no reason whatsoever to change it.

Anyone else besides Titlin think that world/O on the same screen looks awkward?

I'm just curious

I think the world and the O together is okay. It's a really nitpicky issue.

Plus, like I said, I'd really prefer it stay there. I see why it may seem redundant, but if he took it out, I'd have to change the logo, which would then just be the words "The World."

i wasn't thinking of the project as a whole. you should keep it if it that WORLD text is going to be used elsewhere

***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ***

Well, EXShadow has been forced to suspend work on the screenpack until further notice due to technical issues. Tomorrow he'll be sending everything that's done. I am now looking for someone that can continue to build upon his great work. I already have half the entire roster of the game done, and I'm looking to release a beta or demo soon. I have a basic title screen, logo/intro, and character select screen done. I just need a VS screen and lifebars that fit the look and theme of the project. I would appreciate any help anyone could provide.

I'm also looking for someone who can change some lo-res FX for Lynn Baker into nicer looking hi-res FX. Any help on that front would be great too.

I see. I can help if you want, I have some expertise in SP making. Though, depends what kind of VS screen and how far the SP is done o-o. Though, I would like to see if ExShadow allows me to do anything first =o

That would be great SXVector. I'll send you the screenpack stuff via PM, and we can discuss it further.

So here's a look at the lifebars I've been working on. Nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. I'm doing these myself, learning to code lifebars and all that. While I appreciate feedback, I should probably let you know that after all the work I put into these, the only thing I might change is the fonts, so these are pretty much final. These were originally green (lifebars/UT bar) and blue (powerbars), but I was told they didn't really fit the color scheme of the game. So, I tried to apply a similar gradient as seen in the big "VS" in this picture. More images in the spoiler:

As an aside, is anyone else having problems with Photobucket? I can't get anything to upload at all, so I had to use ImageShack for this.

They get the job done, is all I can say. I'd like it though if when life is lost the lifebar is slanted too. Hard to describe what I'm trying to say here, but hopefully you know what I mean.

I understand what you mean, but I don't think it's possible in Mugen, at least, if it is I don't know how it's done. SHADEs 1 had slanted lifebars that were coded by someone else, and they still depleted like these do (straight on the ends), so I'm not sure it can even be done.

I think the portrait parts look awkward personally.  If you take those off it will look great.  Or at the very least use something custom like what Ultimate MVC3 does for its similar looking portraits, since the head of the sprite just looks clashy.

Well, they originally had no portrait because I didn't want to deal with custom small portraits, but several people said they'd look better with a portrait part on the end. Now that I have added a portrait part, I plan on using custom small portraits that aren't sprite based.

Unrelated, but did you ever find someone to do the stages for you? I've never seen that stage before which is why I ask.
