On the brightside, the sprites aren't half bad. 
They could be MUCH better but they've loads of potential.

The only time AI takes over P1 is if Mugen's 'Z' button is pressed. From what I've noticed.
Yes, CLSN's are indeed wonky. There are "spaces" in between some clsn boxes especially in his standing frames.
"F, B, D, F + c" COMPLETELY passes through Kung Fu Man when you stand right next to him.
"Fwd + c" does NOTHING when you stand next to opponent.

The art style is nice. Gameplay is good. It's just that this is badly executed. :P

ya what he said i had a prob with z making ai take over, the art is a lil dif for me, the gameplay is actually pretty great and the fast paced attacking style i like def a keeper, just if you can fix Z making ai take over his walk is also a bit awkward to me, but overall i really enjoyed it

Taking a quick look in the CMD file, it seems that the AI taking over when pressing Z is intentional?

According to this:

Yea...... Just..... a big WTF. That's not how you code AI. If anything, start button should be the AI, since he doesn't have a taunt pose. :P

An overly complicated command that no human will ever do should be the AI start command.

Why do you think CTRL + 1/2 exists?

I agree with TRUEMicah.  His sprites are good, thats about it.  I hope someone takes his sprites and make something great out of him.

C'mon guys he isn't so bad. He just needed to update this char.
Or we can ask Infinite aka Black Reaper to update him. He also did on Cloud.

Nice sprites, nice animations, but very average gameplay.
He doesn't seem to have many attacks, but I'm sure something nice can come out from this.

pinned this Sephiroth up against Daimonmau's Sol Engrenado on mugen 1.1 on watch mode and watched the colors fly this character is awesome to watch but the ai thing is a bit much can't face anyone because as soon as they start to lose "z" button of DOOM!

Sephiroth has been updated 5 days ago what are included is as follows:

AI updated- He now has a counter move and WILL use it quite frequently. Also seems to chain a little more than his previous version.
New moves: as i mentioned he has a counter move and if you want to see the rest, well why ruin the surprise? Go and get him.
Fixed: some of his basics seem better now in my opinion, before then the sword kept air chopping opponents to death now his Masamune has to make a little more contact before it happens. As far as i saw that seemed like that was it.

the one issue with Sephiroth is that his Sword is super friggin huge so it'll be hard to get in on him with anything unless you're Akuma or any fireball spamming character.

This Sephiroth ain't half bad compared to some of the others I've seen. I think it's passable. Hell, I'm no one to judge, considering I can't even code. The whole Z AI thing seems a little strange though.
