@Just No Point. thanks, but I have already been putting his sff and air together. SF3 Strider is currently GM's Ryu with a sff and air switch, he is running great, super smooth animations and everything (with the exceptions of supers arts and throws). I just have to finish up the rest of the rough sprites and switch them out. Oh, and replace them all again with finished sprites. As for recoding Ryu to be a Strider I am totally lost. haha Posted: November 15, 2012, 10:42:16 pmSuper rough sprite of what I was thinking for a future right side of screen stance. I may just edit his original stance to get the same feel as what I roughed out here. Some feed back on what you think please.
Looks good from where I'm standing.Really can't give full c&c until it's finished, but it's shaping up Ink.
my personal honest opinion is that it looks like it's gonna be awesome... I like the idea.one thing I gotta say is I don't think you need to edit the original sprite to match the "right side" sprite in that way, BUT I think you should edit the original sprite back to the way you had it awhile back. This way...I like it this way and I think it fits just that much better with the SF3 style because of the added movement.

just wanna make it clear that the sprite in my last post isn't mine in any way shape or form... It's ink's, and I had it saved on my HD because when I saw it some time ago, I couldn't believe how awesome it was.
@TriceI think you will be happy with the newest version of his stance. I will post it once it's completely done. His lower legs and all cloth is animated along with many other small improvements.I guess its official, I have commissioned Rajaa to begin programing. Don't expect to see it any time soon though, there is a lot more work to go.
CAN"T WAIT FOR HIMMMHow about having his normals resemble his mvc ones and having six unique moves, 3 punch and 3 kicks which are used for various situations

Your sprite work is frigging superb, and I think it's awesome that you took the extra effort to get official SF3 art books to further study the style and make what I honestly believe to be perfect (or damn near perfect) SF3 styled sprites.
I really like that second stance of Hiryu's there o:. Were you planning on having it switchable stances, or he just goes into that stance at a certain time, or..?

This is still just an idea though.
I was gonna say that you could have one stance with his normal moves, and then the second stance be a different style of fighting, but that seems like a lot of work ><
But Strider doesn't have two different fighting styles, it'd make him different, but it wouldn't make any sense. Giving Strider a proton cannon would also make him a different type of Strider, so should he get a proton cannon too? =pAlso, the two stances slight differences' don't even hint at two different fighting styles.
Actually, the normal implies that he is concentrated and prepared. The left radiates with this freestyle feel. That's the creative part, coming up with two different styles. And the proton cannon thing doesn't...what?

He doesn't have two different fighting styles. That would make him like Gen, just like giving him a proton cannon would make him like Iron Man, except proton cannon would be less intrusive to the gameplay of Strider Hiryu. Creativity can be done without making a huge deviation from the actual character.
A huge deviation would be the Proton Cannon. This is Strider Hiryu in a SF3 style, so i'd image he'd be more Street Fighter-y. Don't get me wrong, I'm just saying it'd be pretty cool to see what someone could synthesize out of this.
