For Cliff, I was thinking of having moves of both Dan and Sean
For Musashi and Conbon, I wanted to have them both in the same character. What I mean is that Musashi will have 3 palettes, and Conbon will be playable when you select one of the other three palettes.

I still want to add Riggs, Bella, and the other character. I guess I can make a 14 character roster to add them up.

Also the term your looking for is Matador. and how would you design Sophia and/or Yaein?
-Ah, okay. I guess Sean's kick special could be a good choice.
-Or, you could make it like that, so he has 12 pallettes, and you have to hold the start button in order to get Conbon mode. That's usually, what others do...but then again, I original had the idea of making them two seperate characters, which also could look different enough.
-Well, maybe we can add them as unlockables or something. I heard that this IS possible with MUGEN, when downloading the right add-ons or if doing the screenpack with Game Maker and then make Game Maker load up MUGEN for matches only. In fact, I'm already trying to figure out, how to do that for more then 2 years.
-Well, make Yaein could be either turned into a knight as well, or we could add more spanish influences to Sophia. But to be honest, it is up to you, which characters you want to have his/her design changed...

Okay, so I guess it is decided now for the most parts...
...eitherway, I have already started on both asking for SF4 sprite rips and working on Bunny Tracy's stage.
I already have got the ground, but I still have problems with making the ground lights show up...

I think I though of someone for the last character.

Rose from the beat-em up game Titenic.


I wanted to use Archetype Earth for a base, but there was barely any to work with.

She will use an axe for some of her moves like she did in her source game, and maybe have some water and ice based attacks... That's all I came up with at the moment.

Any ideas?

Sounds cool.
Also, I had an idea for Sophia's story, where I tried to add in an obvious enough Soul Falchion reference, though it's possibly unfinished (not sure, though).
In that story, Sophia participates in the tournament, but not because of the money, but actually because she thinks that Musashi could possibly know more abuot what she is really looking for: the Soul Falchion, a legendary sword, which isn't known for its use as a sword, but actually for its passive ability of granting the wishes of the sword wielder.
And then just imagine, how a remix of Sophia's theme from Soul Falchion plays while you will read the text to the story.
What do you think of it?

Relevant update:

Single Mode lifebars finished (save for the lifebar portrait). I sadly had to ditch the lifebars from Capcom's SF4 because of missing sprite rips, so I had to choose bars, which would be still fitting.
Also seen is a sneak preview of The Circus (obviously in alpha state).

Even more updates:

Bunny Tracy finally got her Back Flip from the original game back (believe me, the FX looks better in motion).
I also have changed the command for the Focus Attack to , so characters can have EX versions of special moves in the future.
I also moved the Joker Mode and Elirin Mode to the pallette slots 7-9 and 10-12 respecitvely, although I am already thinking of either removing the Joker Mode or merging the Joker Mode and the Elirin Mode into one new mode, which I already know, how I could call, but the name of the new mode will be kept as a secret for now.

That's looking pretty good. Maybe you can make a video to showcase your updates.
However I think something is a bit off, there is a pinkish pixel near the Bunny of the left.

Oh, that pixel? Seems to be the fault of the FX found in the SFF.

Also, I came up with an idea for Rose's story: She will participate in the tournament, since she needs the money in order to do a sea travel. Her ending would then pretty much show how Titenic happened.

Also, here is a moveset for Goho Li (using both my and your ideas):
- /: Energy Ball
- /: Rising Uppercut
- /: Volcano Spin Kick
- /: Flying Rekka Kick (up tp 3 times)
Volcano Spin Kick is Fei-Long's special move, where he does a spin kick with flames.
Flying Rekka Kick is Dan's Hien Shippu Kyaku rip-off turned into a rekka-type move.

As a contrast, here is Cliff's moveset:
- /: Energy Burst
- /: Facelifting Uppercut (a stupid Tiger Uppercut reference, I know)
- /: Rising Machinegun Kick
- /: Shouran Kyaku
- /: Rapid Puncher
Energy Burst is the KOF version of Ryo's Ko'oh Ken.
Rising Machinegun Kick is basically Sean's kick special, but a lot faster.
Rapid Puncher is basically Zanzetsuken, a move originally used by Ryo and Takuma.
I still need to come up with a name for Cliff's version of Shouran Kyaku, another move originally used by Takuma.

That does look better then what I was going to use.
In terms off design, it looks almost perfect (I would have only swapped around their gi color and maybe also have slitghly shortened Goho Li's hair).
Also, about Cliff's moves, I think using Ryo as a base for moves instead of Dan would be a better idea, since Dan is essentially a parody of Ryo and while he is not completely rock-bottom, I'd still say that his moves wouldn't be very fitting to Cliff, who seems to be a real martial arts master, unlike Dan, who is, honestly, just a wannabe. Also, when using Sean's versions, then it also would be a good idea to bring them to the level of a martial arts master.
Well, if you need more bases, I could also suggest other martial arts masters like Takuma or Gouken (I mainly listed Ryo, because he had enough similarities with Dan while not being a complete joke).
By the way, what do you think of my conceptual stories for Sophia and Rose?

I guess I could use the sprites from CVS2. With the stance of Dan, and the rest being Ryo & Victory's CVS Sean sprites. But I would have to ask Victory if I could use his sprites first before I start making Cliff.

Also, I wanted Cliff to have a more traditional look with the White Gi. While Goho is someone who want's to be different from her father and his ways, so she wears the orange Gi. Besides, their original colors will be available as the Player 2 palette anyway. So don't worry about them not having their old colors.

Edit: Sophia and Rose's story sounds alright, but I have some thing a bit different for the two. I can't say yet, because as it is right now, it might sound real silly, but what I do have is that Sophia and Yaien are a couple which explains their tag team mechanic in the character. Not much for Rose at the moment.

Okay, now before I forget, I will count again how many characters we have so far:
1. Goho Li (avaible from the start)
2. Cliff (I'd say avaible from the start)
3. Bunny Tracy (avaible from the start)
4. Chun Fo Moon (avaible from the start)
5. Carl Stalong (avaible from the start, displayname will be simply Stalong)
6. John Ranboo (avaible from the start)
7. Amy Ranboo (avaible from the start)
8. Rober Pasta (avaible from the start)
9. Sophia&Yaein (S. from Soul Falchion, Y. from World Heroes 2 NES ,avaible from the start, a tag-team type of character like the twins in Chaos Code)
10. Rose (from Titenic, avaible from the start)
11. Musashi (boss, unlocked by completing Arcade Mode)
12. Conbon (true final boss and secret boss ala Akuma, unlocked by defeating him in Arcade Mode)
Everyone else so far could be either "DLC characters" (kinda like what SeanAltly had in mind with his fullgame "Capcom vs The World") or secret characters, which can be only unlocked by special conditions (though I don't really want to have TOO many characters outside the default 12, so we can preserve the original SF4NES feeling).
Oh, and thanks for the feedback, DuckSS. Whenever we should work on Chun Fo Moon, I would actually it if YOU would beta test him as well, with you having coded the first Chun Fo for MUGEN and stuff...

Well I didn't say what style I am using, so yeah it's allowed.

Those look pretty good, maybe they could be DLC characters if Trinitronity is okay with that.

About Rose. I want to ask you guys something.

Which of these would be the better design?

Remember when I said I didn't have much to work with when I used Archetype Earth? Well that was before I found the complete sprite set for the  character.
With design 1, It shows the axe more but not much else to her.
With design 2, it has a more mystical feel to it and maybe the axe can appear in the form of a kind of water magic.

Or should I mix them up so she turns into design 2 during one or two of her hyper attacks.

I also planed some character from world hero (not cony's one,it's on sf3 engine)...
but for now this is only an idea...
Daphne could possibly work, but I don't really see how Francis could be in this game. After all, we already got a whooping 3 shotos (Goho Li, Cliff, Rober Pasta). Also, I guess that I will make the maximum amount of DLC characters at least around 4-6. Currently, we have:
-Daphne (from Street Heroes, your idea)
-Bella (from Strip Fighter 2, D's idea)
-??? (I'm considering Mari Alberto, who would be then based of all Bootleg versions of Mario, kinda like your collab with DJ_HannibalRoyce, but without clashy sprites and less Mario)
-??? (Riggs being a possibility just because his game plays, according to D, like a "bottom-of-the-barrel brand of bootleg fighting games" is a bad reason, especially because there exist a game, that is actually 1000 times WORSE and plays more like a bootleg, and again, I really only want to see characters from actual bootlegs)
