Ryu SFA3

This is a video of Ryu's basics, movements, blocking, and specials. The file is 51MB. Is this a decent way to share this sort of thing? Feedback to improve the shared output for the community?

Just wanted to ask, how can you show the collision boxes in the game?

It's a script that draws them in realtime using either the MAME-rr or FBA-rr emulators.

I guess it depends what people want to do with it :
- If they want to reference moves for their own custom character, then this may be the best way. For example, say somebody is creating a char with a shoryuken type move, and wants to use SFZ3 styled hitboxes for priority, then referencing this video is nice.
- If they want to use them to create an accurate SFZ3 Ryu, it may be better to release a spritepack (with perfect axis) showing the hitboxes, identical to your other spritepacks.

guard crush, get hits,

I'll probably get shot down by an authority figure but IIRC those usually reuse the stance hitboxes, and in general that's better for compatibility.

I'm using virtualdub to view each frame individually. It seems pretty easy to set the CLSNs to my Ryu by using the pixels as reference. Making spritepacks with these wouldn't be feasible as cycling through the frames does not change the CLSNs (I just tried it before posting to be sure). And even if it did MAME-rr has nothing for ripping. Even the pause screen darkens.

I recently did these too. The guard crush CLSNs are huge! O don't see the get hit CLSNs messing with compatibility. They are just altered from the stand CLSNs. Usually larger as well.

just use the stance clsn for the gethits. Its easier and its pretty much accurate. Stance is used for general things(Standing Block, Walk, Some normals, standing gethits, etc).

I don't know how well you're able to do this, but recording pixel for pixel as an uncompressed avi, then extracting the frames as png files might work well.

If you can do this then you should be able to overlay the sprites onto rips sets and clip out everything but the CLSN then merge the layers, leaving the sprites with correct axis and accurate CLSN

Using GhostWin I can overlay the screens I take over Fighter Factory for perfect axis and CLSNs.  I think it's much faster to just thumb through the file with VirtualDub and use this overlay method.
