Afraid not, man.

I left my working desktop in Georgia, in storage, waiting for me to go back to Georgia to pick it up. In the meantime, I'm handwriting an updated version of my SFF library from scratch, focusing on easy conversion from SFF-SFF2.

Until either that one is done or I get my working computer back, It's on standstill.

Sorry for the long wait Here's a progress report.

I'm rewriting the SFF2 Library. I'm writing a legacy SFF Library and making SFFv2 derived from it for convenient conversion from SFF-SFF2

With that, I might just use the SDL Interface one more time, giving it a key to cross-convert.

To extract sprites, there is an official tool, called SFF2PNG (there is also SFF2PCX if you prefer PCX files.), which comes with Mugen itself.
Needless to say, after extracting the sprites, you can also view them.
Most importantly, it also outputs an SFF definition file that, when used as an input for sprmake2, can rebuild the SFF, also allowing easy modification of SFF by editing said definition file.

If you want easy conversion from SFF to SFFV2, just type in SFF2PNG, followed by SPRMAKE2, and you are done. (You need to do a bit more than that though as SFF2 is different from SFF in palette handling.)
With everything, including updates where necessary, it takes less than 5 minutes. What causes problems and isn't possible is converting SFF2 to SFF, (Sprmaker needs different format input than Sprmake2) but that is not necessary either.

Well, think of the similarities. They both practically gives you the group number, image number, dimensions, and whatnot. All we need to do to hard convert SFF to SFF2 is to give it a header that takes the variables from the SFF header, and rebuild it from scratch. It is possible.

I had a problem with my PCX encoding code. I fixed it. I'm not dead yet, and neither is this project. I'm still ironing out the kinks, so the next release will be done probably before or after this week.

Redownloading the zip will solve it. All needed DLLs are in the archive. Double checked it using the dependency walker, but I digress. It's there. Go get it!

Are you are it's not libgcc_S_dw2-1.dll? I see it depends on that but not libgcc_2_dw2-1.dll, which I do not have on my environment

I am not getting any error messages but it is not opening up for me.

Never mind, I got it to open successfully.

Sweet, now I can view SFF2 files.

I just had a thought. If there ever was going to be a SFF3, will there be a SFF3 viewer or would you upgrade the existing viewer into a SFF2&SFF3 viewer?
First I was just a leech, then I edited the stuff I leeched, now I made something and contributed it.

Cool.

By the time SFF3 comes around, I'll probably just make it so that it'll be compatible with both SFF and SFF2

@Error:
I'm still coding the library to co-exist with SFF, so until that's finished, still on standstill.
