Gamers may remember the original Shaq Fu, released for the Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Game Boy, Game Gear and Amiga in 1994. The game received wildly varying reviews, and is featured on numerous lists of the worst games ever made. The game also has some hardcore fans, though, so they’ll surely be looking forward to the release of Shaq Fu 2.

This comes after the news last year that Shaq's media company filed trademarks for the name 'Shaqfighter' as well as several trademarks on 'Shaq Fu.'

and before any of y'all try to go all faux-AVGN in this topic i'mma just say opinions exist and everything

but if you don't think the character designs and atmosphere of shaq fu were really imaginative you are absolutely wrong

i hope to also see the same thing if this ever comes to fruition. because if the gameplay were fixed up shaq fu could have been a legitimately great game

let's just hope the developers for this won't be making this intentionally bad or anything

I had the game for genesis, im not dissing the game but a sequel after this long is completely unexpected.

I wonder if they will still use the same basic designs, that would be interesting.

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

From what I understand, the PAL versions of the game were a bit more polished in terms of input commands and AI. Controls were still wonky but it was more playable than the versions we got here.

Expect nothing, but remeber everything.+ I am tired. Future spot for Doraemon in MvC picture, the second I learn to create it. (Even further: Pepsiman for Mvc picture.) Honestly, I loved the fucked up story of the Original but I'm hoping they make this sequel more playable.

If I can't be the best, I sure as hell can be the worst.

Polar Vortex fatality confirmed. (Thundersnow likely?)

Why would you want it to lose its reputation? So long as they take example from Mortal Kombat or Killer Instinct's latest revivals, they should remain as absurd and comical as ever.

It's a fighting game about this guy, after all.
