I'll rip all twenty seven characters from this game, don't worry.
And I'll remake the spritesheets for those already (but not completely) ripped. Be sure of that! ;)

Note: they're spritepacks, they're in .pcx. They're not spritesheets. They are also more complete than my rips, but SM just ripped eight characters.

P.S.: if you know how to rip the missing sprites from my spritesheets, tell me and I'll try to rip them. There are few sprites missing for each spritesheet and I can't rip them with my tools.

BTW is there a difference between these and the ps1 game ultimate battle 22 (or whatever it was called)?

those are way cleaner, the ones from the ps1 game were the same original files, but under compression that garbled the sprites a lot.

The game itself was a normal 2d fighting game in the saturn ( with split screen and stage platforming), and a zoomed out mess with 3d stages in the ps1.  The zoom also made it nigh impossible to rip clean sprites.

The butoden series had some of the best games, they even made a recent one in 3d.

And also, some sprites in Shin Butouden don't exist in Ultimate Battle 22-27, and viceversa.

really? Other than fx? Does that mean you would be able to theoretically make a fullpack with the whole collection of sprites?

What sprites would those be? could you give me an example?
( i mean that are in ub22 but not in shin butoden, not the other way around )

Yes, yes and yes. And you can do it actually.

Speaking about Fat Buu, that here is 100 %, he miss the Angry Explosion sprites, as well as the Chocolate Beam attack (that in Shin Butouden he has but managed with different sprites). As well as some attacks. Like the head uppercut (if you can say that) and the slap that destroys the fireball.

In Shin Butouden Gogeta misses the 3d Final Kamehameha sprites.
Goku misses the two hit crouch punch.
Etcetera, there are too many to list.

That's why I'm interested in ripping them. Some miss in a game, some are new.
(I mean ripping them from Shin Butouden ;) )

Great sheets! Waiting for more. Especially Tien who never had it's sheet released from Shin Butouden. İ wasn't able to run this game before, so i wonder wich emulator and rom you used for this.

Well, Tien is on my to do list, but don't expect him soon, because I'm busy with stuff.
I use SSF for playing and Yabause for ripping. I fixed a bit the rom you can download somewhere, can't tell you but it's easy, and made also a guide on how to do everything.
