I'll rip all twenty seven characters from this game, don't worry.
And I'll remake the spritesheets for those already (but not completely) ripped. Be sure of that!

Note: they're spritepacks, they're in .pcx. They're not spritesheets. They are also more complete than my rips, but SM just ripped eight characters.

P.S.: if you know how to rip the missing sprites from my spritesheets, tell me and I'll try to rip them. There are few sprites missing for each spritesheet and I can't rip them with my tools.

those are way cleaner, the ones from the ps1 game were the same original files, but under compression that garbled the sprites a lot.

The game itself was a normal 2d fighting game in the saturn ( with split screen and stage platforming), and a zoomed out mess with 3d stages in the ps1. The zoom also made it nigh impossible to rip clean sprites.

The butoden series had some of the best games, they even made a recent one in 3d.

Speaking about Fat Buu, that here is 100 %, he miss the Angry Explosion sprites, as well as the Chocolate Beam attack (that in Shin Butouden he has but managed with different sprites). As well as some attacks. Like the head uppercut (if you can say that) and the slap that destroys the fireball.

In Shin Butouden Gogeta misses the 3d Final Kamehameha sprites.
Goku misses the two hit crouch punch.
Etcetera, there are too many to list.

That's why I'm interested in ripping them. Some miss in a game, some are new.
(I mean ripping them from Shin Butouden

)

Well, Tien is on my to do list, but don't expect him soon, because I'm busy with stuff.
I use SSF for playing and Yabause for ripping. I fixed a bit the rom you can download somewhere, can't tell you but it's easy, and made also a guide on how to do everything.

Could you please rip Cell from Shinb too ? This will be a lot useful for a Cell I'm doing with Chrono Strife.

Edit: Also would be cool if you could get Kuririn's Throw and also the dash collision frames from everybody in the game.

I forgot to mention, could you rip that forest stage? the one with the tree? I noticed that stage is very nice looking besides the actual backdrop. Most of the stages are like that too. if you could rip namek too.

Dabura spritesheet completed (and I discovered that I have to rip one more sprite for every char, the "counter attack" sprite, that you can see in Dabura spritesheet).

do you think at some point you could make sheets out of super mystery's sprite packs? I'd like to siphon through a few there but don't want to look through all the single sprites.

Hmmmm... nah. I'll rip the sprites again from the game, but I won't use his sprites. But that will come later.

He has some that I can't rip, that's true. However it wouldn't be my spritesheet if I used his sprites (I would also have to make them of the correct scale because some of them have "double zones", I don't know if you understand).

Freeza's spritesheet is 40% done.

whatever works, there was a few things I need from his sheets but it's annoying going through all of those (mainly the winposes and two attacks that I need for launchers for goku)
But yea, if you could just do goku gohan and trunks that would help a bunch.

I'll help you, telling you the number of the sprites you need in the spritepacks

- Goku:
winpose: anim 130, 131, 132, 133;
personal action: anim 126, 127, 128, 129;
launchers: (kick) 157, 158, 159; (punch) 047, 048, 049.
- Gohan:
winpose: 130, 131, 132;
personal action: 126, 127, 128, 129;
launchers: (kick) 062, 063, 064; (punch) 047, 048, 049.
- Trunks:
winpose: 130, 131, 132;
personal action: 127, 128, 129;
launchers: (kick) 063, 064, 065; (punch) 048, 049, 050;

The reason I do this is because I started ripping Goku's kick but instead of three frames I only got two, and that means I wouldn't get the rip completely; so I just tell you the number of the sprites because you can be sure there are all the sprites there. Sorry.

To convert the pcx fastly (in RGB png files, not indexed though), I suggest you to use this: http://www.virtualltek.com/downloads/show/4
"Formato de destino" means the file you will save them as. Always check that. (if you use it)

Yea, no thanks I don't feel like going through all of those, the numbering doesn't help with what I have to do. if you want to get them and zip them for me I won't stop you though. I have too much on my plate now to go through sprites.

By the way, get hit sprites for Super Buu are ripped. Now for the get hits and then all the attacks he possesses.

Great rips You got there.

İ hope You redo Kid Goku soon. The one you have has basic moves İ can't name and use in right order like weak punch, strong punch (also crouchings) and so on. İ want to use his moves like the original and want to include some new additions for specials and super moves. Good luck with this man.

Are you asking me if there are other mugen characters with ShinButouden sprites, or are you requesting for permission to use these sprite rips (and SuperMystery's)?

For the first, yes, there are characters which use Shin Butouden sprites (although not my rips

), go into the "Does this exist?" topic and I'll answer you there.
For the second, anyone can use these rips (of course for mugen and other non-commercial stuff).

Ah, I wanted to say: my spritesheets are 99,99% ripped. They only miss some sprites I can't rip (it could be a punch, or a kick or a supermove; in other words secret sprites or attacks that aren't used in the game, albeit they are still in its memory). So, if you found a way to rip them, please let me know and I'll update the spritesheets (and the credits of course).
