hello everyone I am contributing characters for mugen and some of you might know my characters I made
I don't know if anyone cares about my work or im wasting my time doing so

trying to make characters no one would think about converting but I don't think anyone cares as much
then im wasting my time soon I might not be able to make more characters if I don't get much support to let me know
im doing this for everyone instead of me wasting hours on making characters without anyone caring

(I made a poll here so you can say yes if you care and like to see more of my works or no)

if I don't get enough yes or no then I guess I can just leave everyone to mugen and I hope I made at least some people happy with my contributions
to the community of mugen

have a nice day

but if I can't put a poll up then I might not know if im doing this for lots of people and they are enjoying my works and im spending hours for nothing

Hum, I think you should continue, Shin Mako.
Try to catch one of infinite chars, or Race chars and see more deep how they build their chars. I think you can put more "fun" in your chars.
Good luck with your project! :)

Do you enjoy making stuff. If the answer is yes you keep doing it. If the answer is no you stop.

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

What Cyanide said.
Mugen is a hobby, it's supposed to be fun, and you're supposed to do it for yourself.
If it's not fun anymore, might as well stop or take a break until it becomes fun again.

Sure, go ahead. And if people tell you there are problems, fix them. If people AREN'T telling you there are problems, it probably has to do with way you handled feedback in the past and you should fix problems with that first, because people aren't going to waste time giving feedback to someone who doesn't follow through.

Seeing as how I am not skilled enough to make characters, I commend you on being brave enough to put your works out there. Personally, I have never used your works or I don't recall because I am not familiar with who you are. Do you make POTs styled characters?

I see no problem of your chars.
Me and the fans looking forward to your next char.
I'll say yes.

I liked your Casshern. You don't need to make stuff to gain attention, but for the love of mugen. A lot of creations  don't get that many comments and its never about that. A creator creates for the love of creating. Enough mindless rambling. The choice is yours.

Ultimately, you just need to realize that just because people don't post anything like "great char," "cool!" or "thanks for making this you rock" or even post any sort of feedback doesn't mean that people aren't downloading the character or showing interest in it. Threads on forums like Guild are great for getting the word out, and for most things, that's all it really does. There are tons of creators who just throw their stuff on their website and update their news. They probably don't have an idea of how many people actually download their stuff, they just put it out there.

If you want to make characters to inflate your ego, then yeah, the lack of acknowledgement would piss you off, but if you make things because you genuinely want to contribute to the community and the engine, then just do it. It doesn't matter whether it's the greatest thing ever or trash, you did it because you wanted to share with the community, and that's infinitely better than doing it for recognition.

Get a webspace, upload your stuff to it and just provide a link. People will most likely download your stuff because it's out there and hopefully, if you put the effort into it, they'll enjoy it. You don't need a 5 page thread so that you know your things is popular or worthwhile, that in itself is kinda silly.

im buggin out man

Seriously, I cannot understand what is the purpose of making threads like this. I always find such threads as a form of emotional blackmail to get some more attention. Starting that poll is even more ridiculous. Why even let people decide about continuing your hobby?
Maybe I'm missing something, maybe I misjudged you, but at this moment I sincerely cannot find any other reason for this, than just craving for an applause :/

if you take mugen or any modding hobby as a job, then you seed of some rest for a while to think about it

as banana and Cyanide said there's a time when you think that its boring and arduous.

i met some modders in TES and NV who quit upgrading their mods because of that, one of them almost quit because of some people asking him to update ASAP, and he was tired as fuck because of his RL Problems
