It always had that to begin with I never wanted anyone to suck anything. I never asked for praise I only said I approved it from the start. And your choosing the wrong guy to try and police you should know better. Apparently you didn't and gonna learn it the hard way anyway.

Btw I did try and find him on both email weeks ago when I returned. And again i'm not going to dissappoint people asking for years about SS. I didn't know because I stopped being bothered with it all. Then someone hit me up and said are you SS? I said um yea and asked can I have the old SS. I gave it to him and he said could I make a link to old files people want it check you tube. So I check you tube for SS and see countless movies I didnt know existed. Lots of love given people asking for him and the others. Then I came across freedoms hi res tutorial using SS as a example. I said cool and contacted him and he asked to post his edited version. I said sure no problem just use a disclaimer and he did end of story. Like I said its not about me saying ok use others people work. Thier something clearly saying its a edit and saying what its based off. He did what he was supposed to do. And even gave me a tribute by asking he really didnt have to anyway. So give it a rest no one cares what you think anyway. I got 20 ims open of people calling you a asshole and ignore you talking to me pleasantly. You really think I care about a flamer and couldn't even have some man hood and im me in person. Nope!

A copyright is just that, a right.  It is automatically given to the originator of an IP regardless of whether or not it is expressly stated.
That said, the copyright is limited exclusively to content originating from the person who holds it, this applies to derivative works as well.  HOWEVER, bearing the likeness of another property does not necessarily constitute a derivative work, and therein lies the issue.

The fact on the matter is, there is no industry where this is an issue that there is a clear agreement.  But if you want an expert opinion, look no further than news sources and legal texts.  This one in particular describes a 70% boundary for claiming copyright.

Yep they still haven't learned to grow up and stop wasting time. Hell KFM even blew a morals gasket and started talking racial. That said all I needed to know about him. I don't waste my time on people who would even joke with the race card. But whats funny is this isn't a argument to be won. Because regardless of whoever bitches the character stays. And thier be newer versions and others of mine released. Sooooo when these guys come up with a idea that inspires people for a decade. THEN and only then can they come to me about how bad I suck. Make something cool that people want to emulate over and over in their own version. Make something that is all over youtube myspace tv and other video sharing sites. Have their character be one of the hardest to find and people fight over it. When they can achieve that I'll consider acknowledging the immature banter. For now like I said all its doing is amusing me that haters can strive 10 years lol..........

You on the other hand in this case don't have to by law. Because the product used to make it is not yours. The sprites are not yours unless its original completely. You can't even own code you made from scratch because yep someone else made and copywrited that too. You can basically say look I made my version of this code but you cannot own it either. What you can own is the idea and the likeness thats it. But if the original creator doesn't mind. It falls under fan art and you are subject to EVERYONE READ THIS CAREFULLY! YOU ARE SUBJECT TO NO I REPEAT NO LAWS.
Long as you aren't selling the said idea or project. So people on a message board saying hey wah wah and blah blah mean absolutely not a damn thing. They either like the idea or don't they cant do much about it besides bitch. And who cares its the internet can't they arrest you they most they can do is what these guys did. Look annoying and run around hating on the idea. So what see me crying nope see me caring lol nope. People need to learn to ignore E-thuggery most of the time. It's just some social outcast typing hard on a keyboard for acceptance. Learn to be above it and ignore it like this and your life be alot happier and easier.)

Wow, that's probably the greatest misinterpretation of anything I've said EVER.
It's almost like only the words you want to hear make it to your computer monitor in the first place!
You could have just stuck with the claim that the law is in your favor, but no, you had to invent reasons as to why law doesn't apply.  Surely if you knew what you were talking about you'd make an argument you can actually prove!

I'm gonna be honest here, more than half of the versions of SS were pure garbage.

And why is he "copyrighted"? Didn't the designs come from Kaguke Yaro or whatever the shit it's called? And his "design" is really no different from Capcom shotos.

umm ss your saying that the code is free use but copywrite laws state that once code is typed up its copywritten if so the person chooses
and dont go saying fuck off or anything, im not being an ass nor saying fuck you, im mearly stating what is true, it doesnt say anywhere that the code can not be copywritten for mugen, oh and sprites online as long as they arent based from something and are origional can be copywritten, so dont go saying everything online is opensource

So why the hell are we actually giving a damn about Silent Storm (the guy) ? Seriously, I didn't even know him before this, I read only the first three pages and it's really obvious that he's a piece of shit that nobody needs to listen to as well as being stupid.
