I'm making Skullo his own thread since I'm starting to make some real progress on him. Here's a few preview animations:Before anyone starts up a Capcom/Arika discussion in this section, please refer to THIS to see that the discussion has already happened. He is absolutely going on the Capcom side, because he's most recognizable as a Street Fighter character. Yes, Arika owns the character, but I prefer it this way.Here's his planned CVTW moveset. Keep in mind I'm making these sprites for DivineWolf, who will be making a more complete SFEX version of him. This is just what's planned for the CVTW version.UNIQUE TACTIC-Guard Crush - S Button -Slow moving punch attack that crushes guard and stuns the opponent. Like a focus attack without the different levels, so it's more vulnerable and less controllable, but guaranteed guard break/stun on hit.COMMAND MOVES-Dangerous Heel - F+HK -A rotating overhead axe kick.-Stepping Upper - F+LP -Pretty much how it sounds, a step forward uppercut.SPECIAL MOVES-Skullo Crusher (EX) - QCF+P -Diving, spinning headbutt attack. Like a Psycho Crusher that isn't immune to gravity. EX version hits multiple times and takes the place of his Super Skullo Crusher move from the SFEX games.-Skullo Slider (EX) - QCF+K -A sliding kick that must be blocked low. EX version hits multiple times.-Skullo Head (EX) - DP+P -An anti-air spinning headbutt. EX version hits harder, travels further and has more invincibility.-Skullo Dive (EX) - QCF+P in air -A diving head attack. If it hits the ground before the opponent, the move turns into Skullo Stealer, where he slides a bit on his chest and hits the opponent. EX Version is actually the Super Skullo Crusher from the SFEX games.-Skullo Face Slam (EX) - RDP+K -May need changed around for Mugen. In SFEX, it's an attack throw, where he acrobatically swings below his opponent and slams them face first into the ground. I'll figure something out I'm sure. DEMAN turned into a chest stomp type of thing for his, so I'll probably do the same. EX version will have a homing feature.SUPER MOVESL1 - Super Skullo Slider - QCF+S -I decided the animation for this was too cool to waste on an EX move. It's a multi-hitting version of Skullo Slider that ends with a sweet break-dancing attack.L1 - Skullo Ball - DP+S -Skullomania throws an energy ball upwards, and after a short delay, it comes down on the opponent. Can have two in play at one time, but of course it costs 2 super bars to do that.L1 - Skullo Energy - QCB+S -Surrounds himself with a field of energy. The field eats projectiles and completely covers Skullo, so the move is very safe, but has relatively short range (about the range of Chun-Li's Kikosho).L3 - Skullo Dream - RDP+S -Skullo's over-the-top SGS-type super. The screen will flash different images in the background, and with each one is a new still of Skullo attacking his opponent from a new direction.OVERVIEWAs you can see, unless I make a change, he will be one of those characters whose EX moves are more valuable than his supers since his L1s are only useful in specific situations. Using a Skullo Ball to create tension in your opponent, and then rushing down with Skullo Crushers or Skullo Sliders before it comes down will create some good mix-ups, maybe too good, which is why I don't know of Skullo Ball will be an overhead or not (logically it should be, but I don't want to break him).Here's what's done right now:StanceWalking AnimsJumpCrouchTurning (stand and crouch)All required sprites/get hitsI've go tmy motivation back and things are going quickly at this point, so hopefully I will have him done in about a month. Good question. Shadowgeist would make sense, but I'd hate to have to make sprites for that guy. Maybe another SFEX character?
Out of the animations I gotta say this is the most impressive and fluent animation you've done. Bravo. I hope he turns out great, Mr. X IMO was your best work altogether, so hopefully you can top him with this guy.

Is this going to be the first character that comes with a striker or are we continuing along with the current template? If so, all of the characters still aren't up to status quo, maybe we should go one step at a time and then add all of the strikers last. I'm still not sure whether the striker system will even be implemented or not, he just asked IF I do strikers who would I use. SWEET!First it was blair dame, then the WIP of Kairi, Now its Skullomania?!Dude, keep this character up! I love Street Fighter EX and so far this is the best CVS Sprited incarnation I've seen since Felo's single sprite!I wish you and your team the best of luck .Also about Akira/Capcom, in my opinion, Akira was actually made from ex-Capcom members, so yeah, Capcom fits Skullomania.Also, He even made a guest appearance in a PS1 game Fighter Maker (Fun Fact).
Looking brilliant, this mofo, definitely one of the most fun chars from EX!Sprites are looking especially nice and fluid so far. Nice job Sean, I'm going to follow this ps. Since supercancelling Super Skullo Slider into Super Skullo Crusher was so common in SFEX,will he somehow be able to EX-cancel it in the same matter?(I do know that in SFEX3 you could cancel a special move into another, but it didn't have EX-moves...)
Haven't really gotten that far yet, but I may make it possible to cancel EX Skullo Slider into EX Skullo Crusher if it's that vital to his offense.Here's his first attack animation! It's just an LP, but it looks really smooth to me so I wanted to show it off.
Thanks, it is a pain.Here's two more animations, MP and HP (DivineWolf's is 6 Buttons, which is why there's an LP, MP, and HP).I will probably use the MP animation for the CVTW version's HP because I like it better and it's more unique.
Yeah that sounds alot better for CvTW, and this really looks very nice. I think the only thing is that in the MP animation Skullo seems to shrink a little during the attack. His head seems a bit small and his torso seems to get a tad bit too short IMO.
