I'm using POT's Evil Ryu. I installed the Evil Ryu small portrait variant that he packed with it, and set the CvSArtwork palette as Evil Ryu's default palette, but the small  portrait still shows the original CVS palette in the select screen. :/ Anybody know how to fix this?

Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty

What version of Mugen are you using?

1.1 doesn't tend to really show their original palette, Thus why if I used Divinewolf's Mai, Her small portrait will be her separated colors even though I'm using a completely different palette.
If I can't be the best, I sure as hell can be the worst.

I'm using 1.1, so yeah I suppose it could be an 1.1 problem :/ I guess their's no fix for now then. I'm also having this issue with Buckus' Yun.

Open FF, Choose Palette, Save Sm.Port as BMP, open palette editor (make sure its the palette you want), insert sm.port, click add, save it, then change the sm.port with this one, then save SFF... If a little confusing, I can do it for you, if you'd like.

Actually, if I'm reading things correctly, it would be the same thing if you did this in 1.0 or WinMUGEN. The issue Hyogo is talking about is slightly different.

What you need to do is to change the palette of the portrait before adding it to the sff. Small portraits on the select screen will use the palette they were added with, and are not affected by what the character's default palette is.

EDIT: ninja'd

Thanks, I'll try to follow the little tutorial you left here in case this ever happens again.
