Hyper advanced aliens, with the ability to roam the universe and mine asteroids, dead planets, and colonise anything that takes their fancy and they want THIS planet? Unless they're sex maniacs who live for 1000's of years and breed like rabbits, i don't quite see why they'd really want to pillage somewhere as messed up as earth. We've buggered the atmosphere. We've used up loads of the natural resources. We've killed much of the native flora and fauna. There is nothing here for an advanced race at all.

Maybe its because earth's like a bad egg, an it need to be destroyed like one to bring piece back to the universe once again!

Gold.
There are not too many places in the universe that has such an abundance of gold as the Earth.
Radiation hurts aliens too and nothing blocks it better than gold.

How do you think people got here in the first place?
Aliens needed the gold but they also needed slave labor to mine it. They crossed thier DNA with various creatures from Earth until they found that the monkey yeilded the best results.
They know that what they did was wrong, and that is why we destroy the Earth so much, because we have no natural sense of harmony.
In the year 2012, the aliens will return to wipe out thier mistake. The cream of the crop from the human race will be spared and taken with them.
