You guys truly out did yourself with him. Im having a fuckin blast with this edit. He is seriously awesome and doesn't take away the wolverine game play. I love what you all did and thanks for sharing.  :sugoi:

Amazing character and can i give some feedback?
The select screen mini portrait needs to be changed because it is big and it is yellow like covering the rest of my dudes which can get annoying. (please try to fix in the next release plz)
Plays great and feels great.
Good animation
Great idea as well
Amazing character overall.
Make more xxxenom characters please because they are AMAZING!

Sabaki , I will give you my report  (since I know you care)

Good

- Twisted Weapon X, nice idea
- Arachnid Massacre, very nice idea.
- Good voices
- Good combo ability

Bad

- Bad aligned effects (his standing strong punch, SSP for now  on)
- bad animation times in many things (SSP, intro  when he gets the simbiont, all hitsparks)
- slow moves (the grabs)
- Berserker Barrage X - Its almost the original version. Maybe you should give the same revamp of the Twisted Weapon X
- Infectious Darkness. I don't like it, at all. There is better way to scale the dark "blob", the effects on Wolvenon  (palfx) are weird and I don't like the  concept too. I can't imagine a simbiont covering all the screen, but its my personal taste.
- Sometimes, I miss some of the ZVitor's feeling on this char, like the diagonal laucher, which was removed on this version.
- There is something missing on this char...I dunno what. Maybe he can be better, with some other moves, like Omega Red tentacles, etc.
- I still think that this char could be more agressive, more wild.


Well, like I said before (even to DT, directally) is a nice char (I'm putting my personal opinion aside about Symbionts) and its the best symbiont char, for sure (its not a provocation, relax you-know-who).

keep the good work. There is a lot to fix,  but I see some potential here.

i already delete my version, its a great char, with all sabaki's "combo detailts"
my feeling is only to change set of basic moves because EoH project have lots of wolverines, sometimes i dont know if story is about a symbiote invasion or a wolverines invasion, any way... now i tink is better change set of basics of other wolverines.

it not a good move to wolvenom, but should be perfect for DAREDEVIL, i tink it should be the best way to mugenize his radar, a black screen and palfx withe....



i just dont like the stage, and not only about the static problem, try put all this symbiotes animated in a city stage

Yeah ... about the stage :

WTF is this ?!! None animated symbiotes just look UGLY in the back of the stage. Oh yeah, I read the readme : time constraint. Why the fuck would there be time constraint for Mugen stuff ? The creator's not paid for the job, is he ?!
The Juggy quote just looks stupid, Gouki in the air is not realistic, neither are all the other symbiotes ...
Also, what the hell is this sprite appearing at the top of the stage when you jump ? Sprite 1,0 in the SFF, the art used in the stage Ultimecia. Not to say there are many other sprites in the SFF which have nothing to do there.

This is just some rushed job, getting released just to be released. I have to back up Ilusionista on this one (can't remember which topic) : the original version is 100 times better. At least it makes sense, contrary to this half assed job where some guy just pasted symbiotes sprites onto a ground and called it a new stage.

This is comming from a guy who's characters are broken or dont work at all.

Personally dude YOUR characters are the one's that need "a lot to fix". Start with your Dao Long EX and work your way down from there.

@.(O). : Thanks for the feedback. Well, the character is pretty solid for a first release, but yes there are some things missing. A few others have mentioned about more symbiote-type moves for the basics, so DT and are have discussed about it. He's gonna try to have some new things so that Wolvenom will be further different from Wolverine without ruining the gameplay. Making him more wilder & crazier has been on my mind, and I'm still working on some concepts to achieve that. For example, currently moves like Beserker Barrage and Tornado Claw now have finisher-type of followups, but I'm thinking about changind how the original moves work as well, like make the look of Tornado Clow change to comething else than just spinning his body like Wolverine. Speed of his throws has been mentioned to me as well, so I'll also work on that. Sprite alignment was one of the hardest part concerning Wolverine, since he's small and generally leaving the ground for his attacks. I'll look into alignment a little better. As for fixing up the fluidity of some of his symbiote-related animations, I'll pass the message to DT.

@zvitor: You deleted your version? Hmm, I figured maybe one day you'd add some stuff to yours and maybe speak with DT about releasing yours.

@Zelgius: Yeah, the current one is supposed just "jump at you", but we're aware it doesn't follow the standards. I'll add another small portrait in the update...just for you  :)

@God's Anger: This is DT's first stage iirc, and he did try to get it out as quickly as possible. The idea for the stage is from one of The Avengers comics, where Dr. Doom dropped a Symbiote Bomb on the world. Some of the future plans he has are to have the characters animated as well as fix any bugs and inconsistencies. In any event, I'll deliver the message to him.

this is one of the best characters that i have ever played....the web and claw combination is simply magnificent!!!! whoever thought of the idea is a genius!!!!

not really, just removed from my roster.

about feedback, one time when i defeat enemy in blackscreen mode, blackscreen still and then banshe winpose apper but i only see black screen and enemy body, i cant made it happes again, if i can will give more details.

Anyways, back on subject...

How long did it take you guys to both sprite & come up with the ideas for moves and supers for Wolvenom?

THIS is exactly what "EDITS" should be. Not stats and pallette changes or flashy effects. A true edit from looks to moves. Seriously good job with this!

PS- I hope you plan on updating him soon, I would like a faster Beserker Barrage and Tornado Claw. It seems choppy/slow for his style. But dont go overboard with the speed.  :P ::)

I found one bug though. Not sure if anyone else said it but I'll say it anyway. When Wolvenom clings to the left-right end side of the stage behind the opponent, he floats to the opposite side of the wall. I'll post up a pic of the bug if you need me too.

thanx. Yeah, there are something very wrong with that stage, with all static edits. I know that it was made on a hurry, but sometimes you  just (how can I translate it)  will "miss the shot" (or "waste the shot") by releasing something unfinished, because all the surprise will be gone, because people alread saw the stage on very early stages.

yes, some of his moves are hard to align. I watched his low kick a lot of times because I think that it was misaligned, but no.

And keep this in mind: I NEVER will dislike or attack you  because any personal issues with anybody. I won't mix my personal taste (or hate) of symbionts or any trouble with any forum with  my  respect for a good creator. Do not anyone fool you  into that.
