Sure I'll play some 2k2 with ya, especially since now you mention that don't use Daimon, Angel, Shermie, Vice, Chang or Chris. Those characters give me a rough time. I just hope ya use Mame32k .64, alot of people around the Mugen community seems to like using Kawaks, which is fine and good for sprite ripping and debugging, but it's not very stable when it comes to online play.

I thought there already was a "TempesT will kick your ass thread" somewhere. Please keep it there.

Here I was thinking there were news about the release of KOF XII  --;

Who cares? Give me a goddamn 98 UM release date already!

I'd say the same for Metal Slug 7, but I don't care much for the Metal Slug franchise.

They are nice games with great pixel work and animations, don't get me wrong, but they have ZERO Replay value for the most part.

That's true; at least if you're playing alone. If you're playing with a friend, however, it's pretty fun to play it multiple times IMO.

As an arcade fan myself, I think the only replay value is being skilled enough to go through all levels without having to use continues.

EXACTLY.

Metal Slug - Reach the last level with all lives intact

Metal Slug 2 - Reach Level 5 with 1 Credit (Crazy city + Trains + Mutants)

Metal Slug 3 - Reach Level 3 :S (they really raised the difficulty)

Try playing Metal Slug X at the arcades using that same logic, then report back to me.

edit: I see you already mentioned MS's cheapness.

......eh, IMO, "I think the only replay value is being skilled enough to go through all levels without having to use continues." was still a pompous-ass reply.

Metal Slug X was program'd to milk your pockets. I consider it to be a bastard child to MS2.

I did a Speed Run once without dying once (Speed Run to hell, it was a survivor) on the arcades, sure, after thousands of constant deaths.

But arcade revisions are awesome. :o Don't you rather spend the money on a new and improved version of the game you were going to play anyway?
Notice the emphasis on arcade, because console version revisions, on the other hand, do truly "milk your pockets".

Yes, she also cuts you in half at the end of a round.

Yay, Haohmaru's stage is in there, points for classicness. Also that gaijin samurai reminds me of Takezo Kensei from Heroes, or *insert other 5 characters with that formula*.
