So, I had to d/l fighter factory classic because of some weird error with ultimate. Not that big of an issue considering when I used MUGEN before (not for very long) i was using FFC. My problem is that when I open my sprites to create my palette, they are distorted (looks a bit like the distortion you used to get in the '90's when you tried to watch a pay channel you didn't pay for). I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've completely redid my sprites. If i view my .pcx's in anything else (Photoshop), they're fine. The problem only exists in FF. What gives?
Specifically, I want (more that anything else) to rip and create a sprite sheet for my favorite character of all time: Sketch Turner!
Your sprites don't have a palette before you put them into FF is the problem there. You need to use something like photoshop to apply the palette first, i'm also merging your topics.
maybe I just didn't explain what's going on very well. From the beginning:1. I went to MKWarehouse and got all the sprites for Johnny Cage (saved every GIF myself, one at a time.... very boring)2. Opened them all as Smart Objects in Photoshop and turned the transparent backgrounds for each image pink then saved them individually as .pcx3. Opened FFC and began to make my new character (following a youtube tutorial). the first image I opened after starting my palette editor process (the paint holder thing... what's that called) was all distorted and I could go no further because everything had turned quite purple and sideways.http://img8.mediafire.com/7172fc52721af0f1db7ab04cdd92638d8e9f2d7891bc19a24379092a9e379c164g.jpg
yes, youtube tutorials are horrid but i have no other alternative (haven't found anywhere else saying "hey guy, here's how you make this")... got any suggestions?thank you, i vaguely remember some tutorial back in the day saying something about that... my brain just blocked that out.... now i should be good. thank you again....
