  • No creations for MUGEN from me.
MUGENhunter returns with an updated version of his full game "Sonic: Freedom Fighters 2".
This version is of course the same game, but it has more characters, re-balanced gameplay, updated sprites, new stages & more.

Positives
1) Even thought the characters don't really have AI, they still put up a defensive game.
2) More characters (including hidden ones not shown in the pictures).
3) Gameplay is more balanced. Somewhat feels like an KOF game due to simple commands like rolling & hard normal (I can't remember what they call it but its the command when you press both H.Punch & H.Kick).

Negative
1) Some characters can get too defensive or the damage output isn't all that. When you play Arcade Mode (Story mode in game), the characters block a lot & not much chip damage is dealt. This can be a problem leading with too many timeouts.

Nitpicks
1) The use of WinMugen. Mugen 1.0 is more stable
2) Use of MIDI for music. MP3 can work, he even has the dll files needed to work.


One of the best rivalries. You win a cookie if you get the reference.


Shadow & Rouge returns with updated sprites & new moves.

I wonder will a cannon spike  full game will be possible?

Veanko will have to get into this, would be nice if he used some more of MugenHunter's stuff in his edits and updated sprites would be a first.

I'll have to give this a try for sure.
If I can't be the best, I sure as hell can be the worst.

finally, but i wish this was converted to 1.0 and that will be awesome and have a win screen for this full game

yeah, the final boss in this is scourge, i wish freedom fighters 2 the original was there, they have nack as the final boss

You can actually play as the Secret characters if you explore the Character select screen ._.

Including Nack and the old version of Espio.
If I can't be the best, I sure as hell can be the worst.
