sound issues

A beast of prey...

Ive been having this damn problem for a long time and cant seem to fix it ive tried several things but nothing works.My mp3s don't play sometimes from the start...I either don't hear the music at all or hear a repetitive ticking sound...can someone plz help me i dont know what else to try..thx in advance
