They added in support for WinMugen Plus hi-res screenpacks?  Why didn't someone tell me?!
...uh, it doesn't.
Well, it does, but it requires your work for it.
Such as scaling everything in the character select screen by half, since 1.0 now supports scale lines for everything.
Should take 5 minutes at the most for something like Sword Dancer's GGXX screenpack.

It should, yes.
I myself don't know how, but I've seen it done in the Elecbyte forums once on a 320x240 setup.

320x240 defeats the purpose.
For me, the whole reason to use a hi-res screenpack is that the small portraits are easier to see so it looks nicer.

Switch over only to lose resolution and color quality?

I respect your decision to like it, but 1.0 is just not worth it to me.

Uh, you know WinMugen Plus is on the 320x240 standard, right?
And that 1.0's look functions on your screen size and not internal restriction like Win, which is what Plus basically got; a res boost?
Spoiler: lo-res pack running in 640x480 hurr (click to see content)
srs nigga now you jus bein silly
This would look like shit in Win if you ran it in 640x480 because the ports would be twice as small and smudged up, and you'd need to resize the sprites in order to make it look okay in Plus, which is pretty stupid and unnecessary.

It's like you never even tried it.

And losing color quality? How did that happen?

Professor, please explain further the possibilities of 1.0, I'm looking for reasons to move to 1.0, but I'm unsure about it. Will my CCI and WLS charas work? Will I experience slowdowns?

And losing color quality? How did that happen?

1.0 does not display color correctly.

Let's use your own stage here as an example:

Look at the top right of the image.  The circled part is what we will be comparing.  The statue's eye.

The top left part of the images is the statue with an image taken via the print screen button using mugen 1.0.
Color pick the eye and you'll find the values are:
140,227,231

The top middle is the same part of the stage, taken with F12 in mugen 1.0.
Color pick the eye and you'll find the values are:
139,226,230

Not quite the same, right?

The bottom is your actual sprite shown in fighter factory.  Values?
136,224,224

Mugen 1.0 will never show colors for what they actually are.
WinMugen Plus does.

Now, when you F12 in WMP, the colors get messed up, just like in 1.0.  But when you are actually playing at least the colors are right.

That's just how the renderer acts. As long as the difference isn't even remotely noticeable to the human eye, is it really something to complain about? :/

The example was used just to make sure if you were to check, the same color was easy to select.

The whole way I found this out was because my eye noticed the difference on a stage I was making, compared to the source game.

1.1 will be a different story.  But I see no reason to bother moving to 1.0 in the mean time.

I'd rather have my game slightly darker than crash every time i try to play it.

If it's crashing every time then something you put in is so bad that even Winmugen is rejecting it

No, because 1.1 will display all colors correctly.  That's what we are all after anyway.
However, Jesuszilla, if you feel like reporting it, feel free to use my image and quote my post.
I won't be deleting the pic or anything.

I always hear this, but honestly, I don't have this problem.
I go three or four arcade runs usually when I play too, so you'd think I'd get it all the time.

Here a simul survival mode GLB and I did:

54 fights?  4 characters each time?  And he had some less than quality characters in there too.

The crashing often occurst because of music. Winmugen crashes because it had some problem reading a MP3 and bugs the sound before closing with an error. At least, that's what I have experienced.

And Ilu, it's already tons more stable than WinMugen since RC5.
Seriously, it's like people are still at RC2 or something.

No, I use the latest release.

This is my opinion. you can agree or not (or even write "..." and making jokes), but it is still my opinion.
For me, each new feature of 1.0 brings a lot of bad things (more than good things).

And it will bring even more. Last time I checked Elecbyte`s forum, they were into...zoom. Sorry, but zoom? This is really SO important over to fix bugs?
For some people, yes. For some others, like me, no. There are so many things that could be done before something so...less important like zoom.

But this is just my opinion, as I already stated.

I won`t be switching to 1.0 until I see it is really fixed.

It's not relative to the characters themselves

I'm pretty sure this is about it. Mugen will glitch up then crash.

You don't even have 1.1 to know what all they fixed. Cause its a ton of bug fixes + zoom :U And before you ask, yes I do have it.
Sony took it down :( Guess it gave people the wrong idea. rip amberlamps.
96/150 Chars, I'm not dead yet....the true surprise is in my thread.
