Im intrested in sprite editing.... but I dont know where or what programs I need to start.

I dont know Why I would need more than 2 proframs to edit sprites.... But I was told I would need like 5 programs (Witch sounds like a little too much to just be editing 1 sprite at a time....)

Anyways, I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me how I could go about getting started.

i edit sprites with one program  ???

i use Photoshop(of course there are more simpler programs). but maybe you mean a certain type of editing? but still 5 programs seems a bit too much. lol.

cheers,RajaaBoy

Too get started you get the sprites you are editing you get the program you are editing with and you start pixel by pixel sprite by sprite.

Be sure to not ad too many colors to the sprites and just do it, that's the only way i know.

I use paint, basic and easy!  I don't understand why many people have a problem with paint.

Features, you get more things to do to get your edits just right. In other programs of course.

Well duh but overall paint is easy and good for newbs and more advanced, gimp is awsome too,

I use MSpaint for everything.
But that's mostly because I'm cheap.

It works though.

Me too!   High five for the cheapos!

yes, graphics gale hit the spot...is great for sprites, and animations too...

how about Paint Tool SAI?, if you need to draw something original, is way more easy than others, and let you freely rotate the image like drawing in a real paper...
