I've played around with sprite recoloring for a while and I've discovered some techniques allowing color swaps in relative fast time. Now with that knowledge I think I'm ready for the next big step. I wish to replace the original heads on some characters, in this case Zangief from Street Fighter to another head. How would I do this if his arm is covering his head? Would I need to copy his arm, put the new head on and paste the arm back as it was before, covering his head or is there any other way?P.S: I'm using Paint and Gimp.
