SPRITE PROBLEMS

Hello Gentlemen, I have sprites but they dont seem to be loaded properly onto Fighter Factory.
Is it perhaps due to them being in a Png File? Do I need to convert them into Bmp or Pcx?
Could someone inform me? Thank you.

they need to be in index color
mugen only recognize 256 color

so is there a program i can use to see all my sprites and convert some from png to pcx?
