i just dont get how to do it. is there a specific program? i probly wont use it anyway, but im just ocd, so i want to know.
A sprite swap, aside from generally giving a crap result involves taking an existing character, swapping every sprite in the .sff file using a program like fighter factory, mcm or mee so it looks like something else but plays the same as the original. This is only a good idea if you're doing something like taking sakura and putting her in a gi, or putting ken in a tux or something silly like that.It is NOT a good idea to take wolverine and decide you're going to turn him into prof X. It doesn't work. When i started (and liked DBZ characters) i once downloaded a: Ginyu, jeice, zarbon, burter and recoome. Installed them all played with each for 10 seconds and said "wtf it's emuboardings vegeta N2. Over 5 characters. I swear that thing is the most swapped character in existence. They were then deleted.

Two ways-Either you rebuild the SFF from scratch, simply keeping basically the same axes and group/image numbers-or you edit the SFF to swap the sprites one by one, in which case you'll first need to apply the palette of the original characters to the sprites you want to add (thus make sure the colors on the new sprites are on the original palette), else they'll look like crap when added. Or, again, you modify the palettes then swap the sprites one by one.
