I need configuration help to edit a stage i found for an older version of mugen

Image supposed to looks like this

But it looks like this in mugen 1.0

Original stage can be downloaded here:

stage name: Metro City skyline
http://ngmc.retrogames.com/stages11.html

Can that metal bar be disable altogether or does the whole stage needs to be edited

If you know what configuration I should edit please let me know!!!

Thanks

It appears to be a tile = 0,1 issue or something. You should be able to find the sprite for the metal bar and change tile = 0,0.

Who made that stage tho?
Yeah Titiln, in fact, You Made Him

Nvm about what I said before , the problem was this

Quote
[BG 7]
type = normal
spriteno = 7,0
ID = 4
start = 0,240
delta = .735,1
tile = 0,1
tilespacing = 496
mask = 1

there was no x value for the tilespacing. Just add 0, or something.

Oh, btw doing this will cause a weird background error that occurs at the beginning of the stage.

I disable the whole bg7 set but like you said it causes something bad to happend.. it seems that all of the other sprites move out of place, I also tried just deleting sprite 43 using FF Ultimate but for some reason it does not want to save.

Use tilespacing = 460,0 or 496,1000000
Can't remember which one you should use. :X

tried  Tilespacing 496,1000000 but then other sprites moved out of place and some repeat themselves and move out of place.

Try the other way round : 0,496 or 10000,496.
If it still doesn't work, I'll DL and try to fix it tonight.
Otherwise, you can just completely disable the bar by removing all the code GT Yzan quoted.

Double post because I can. :P

Here's a link to the fixed DEF file : http://www.sendspace.com/file/085onf
I also added name, displayname and authorname, just because.

That being said, knowing the high quality of NeoGouki's stages, and the fact he'll probably never come back to the scene, I might as well DL all his stages and fix their DEF file to make them compatible with 1.0, and upload the fixes in a patch. :)
