You're easily rivaling Capcom's own releases. These look amazing. No doubt about it.
Dat bum :o

Haahaaaaa! Thanks for the appreciation fellas! Much obliged!
The main reason I started this is because I'm a huge fan of Bengus, Edayan and others and grew up watching their art evolve into fruition throughout Capcom games.
I could never get enough of that art (I got books to prove it) and thought it would be cool to retouch it for veterans and future generations alike to enjoy.  :yippi:

What are your resolution settings, E.G. Height/Width/Resolution?? I'm curious....
Well, for the SFZ/A3 HD Select Portraits its 624 x 732 because I'm following Hloader's HD Screenpack format.
The SFz/A3 HD Victory Portraits are 1024 x 541 also following suit with Hloader's HD Screenpack format.

I haven't yet started on the MvC2 HD Super/Hyper Portraits, but I'm guessing the resolution should be somewhat similar to 674 x 732...can't tell right now for sure.

Hahaaaa bro. You know I'm married.  ;P Thanks.

I'm turning this thread into my permanent WIP Projects thread.

Here's what I've been working on the past few couple of days.

Still in its Photoshop phase, although the background is indeed already indexed.

This would be what Arcade mode looks like.

I am currently working on the cursor animations...and what a bitch it is.  ;P

I really need help getting the VS screen background ripped from the actual game.
Spoiler, click to toggle visibilty
If someone can help me with it, I need it in CPS3 native ratio 384 x 224.

quite sexy, but shouldn't the slots be more... "angular"

like this?

or is that how you wanted it to be?

Yes you are right, but it would be quite troublesome to go about making it like that.

Please refer to Cyanide's explanation on this topic to see what I mean.

I will however give it a try after I've completed the mugen "grid friendly" version that I just showed.

It's all right if you don't make the "accurate" version, knowing you'll be making a SFIII screenpack is already awesome news  :P

Thanks.

Now I can't promise you anything, but I will do my best in the end through that cursor hack workaround to enable the original roster grid as a fullgame "accurate" option. I'll probably release it later along the way as a patch.

Right now I need that VS screen BG ripped in original ratio so I can move on after I'm done with the cursor anims.

Wish I could lend more of a hand here, but you know how married life with full time work is.  :ninja:

It's great to see you working on a dedicated SF3 SP. What does this mean for your SFA portraits??

All in all, keep up the fantastic work.

Haha. True that sir. Spoken like a true married gentleman. :toffgoi:

SFA Portraits are still go. Expect some previews of Yang soon.

I am still working on our Magneto, which I believe has been the most tedious graphical task I have taken on so far.

This only means that I will have something else to play with. I've always taken on 3 things at the same time cuz I am an ADD child. ;P

If anyone wants to help convert sounds for the SF3HD sceenpack, then by all means be of help...not that I need them right this second as the status is very early but it would still help a whole lot.

i think it should have a custom portraits version like the arcade version.

Background looks real nice so does the VS.

Yes you are correct and it will be implemented. I just simply finished getting the VS background to look as decent as I could, and not to mention getting the VS font to show like that with very little colorloss and smooth anti aliased edges was a real long trial and error phase for me.

I am most certainly glad that you approve. :2thumbsup:

This is a mockup of how I plan to position the portraits in the VS screen. A template will be provided of course.

Also, I hadn't shown any progress on Eagle...he's coming along just fine.
