1.  I stuck this ORIGINALLY in squallsofts port thread, but that thread has its own drama right now, and im thinking after the fact that putting it there was not a good move, so I apologize for that...I just really want to make ports and am getting stuck on things that i figured could be answered quickly.

I have the big template and erased the right side akuma and placed my pic inside the  shape, looks good but of course its sticking out past the edges and the whole bottom half of the pic is also...with GIMP, can anyone tell/show/ explain how to get rid of the extra parts of the pic?
