Yeah, so I'm new here. Been playing Mugen for a fairly short amount of time, few months I think. I decided to make an account here for two reasons. One, I love what you guys do. It's freakin' awesome. Two, I hope to join the ranks of Mugen creators. There's just one little snag about that......I don't know jack diddly squat about programming these mofos.I do however know how to sprite fairly well. I'm currently working on a funky little frankensprite project, since I can't seem to do it from scratch worth crap. But purdy little sprites only go so far, so I'm gonna need some help and advice when it come down to that point. So, here's a little preview of what I've got goin' on here:Sol's legs + Chipp's torso + a bit of Testament's hair = Magus. Booyah. Feedback?

I think it looks great. Although it would look a little better if his knees and feet were animated too.Welcome to the guild. Edit: Oooops forgot. I'm glad my first reponse here was so positive, I was sort of afraid I'd get crucified for...umm...Something or another I know all too well how unjustly hostile the 'net can be...Glad to see I have nothing to worry about.Yeah, as I said this was a frankensprite creation based off Sol's legs, so I only had 5 frames of animation to work with. Sol ain't got much fancy footwork, trying to match that up to Chipp's exaggerated hand motions is a bit of a stretch, but hey I asked for feedback for just these reasons. Animating him more would be a bit tricky for my humble skill level, but I might be able to pull something out of my arse. For now I just want to get a basic series of movements done.

Please for the love of God tell me haven't just joined one of those damned "l33t" forums who flame anyone new just for being new? Seriously, I'm not that great at this. I'm a Mugen noob, plain and simple. I came here to learn. If that's gonna get me nothing but a pain in the ass, then at least tell me so I can walk away before bullshit starts flying...My apologies if I'm coming off as overly defensive or even hostile, but frankly I hate people like that. Forums, MMOs, everywhere. Can't escape it no matter where I go.
