Does the animation start over in round 2?  It'd be kinda weird for Samus to escape each round, as if she was always forgetting something.  "Oh, my purse!"

No it doesn't start over, she only escapes once...

Yeah, making her comeback to the exploding planet she is trying to escape would be silly. :P

I agree with you. If Samus is escaping out of the planet, why would she come back if it was going to blow up? :P

It looks a bit awkward that the ground is shaking but the player's feet are perfectly still.

Instead of a sin.x earthquake shake, you could consider a sin.y shake as a BGCtrl controller which will allow you to set zoffsetlink so that the players shake with the ground.

It looks a bit awkward that the ground is shaking but the player's feet are perfectly still.

Instead of a sin.x earthquake shake, you could consider a sin.y shake as a BGCtrl controller which will allow you to set zoffsetlink so that the players shake with the ground.



I considered doing that, but i'm trying to stay true to the game, samus stayed perfectly still while everything shook, so it has the exact same feel that the game had...

Another awesome Super Metroid stage.

Now if only someone can tell me where I can download THIS incredibly awesome SM stage, I'd be all set.

She COULD leave on the second round depending how quick you complete the first, but most likely the first round. As for the sprites, i tried to clean them as best as possible, i didn't really think it was bad because of all the stuff happening in the background, she looked normal to me...
