That's a pretty decent CS for Fei Long IMHO. Varo separated the socks, the shoes and the belt from the current black colour of the pants, aside the hair.

Is possible to separate it more? OF COURSE! applying another colour separation in the chest and arms(double CS, I'd say), you can also have a decent Bruce Lee from his "Game of Death" film.

But that's(maybe) a lot. I would leave as it is right now.

He says that he's using Ryon's color separation. Didn't that already have the torso, hands, and a eye mask separation to look like Kato?

^ No, it didn´t. You guys should really stop looking for overly extensive color separations. Separating him for having a sweater & gloves is far too tedious and unnecessary. The separation is fine as it is.

Yes I'm using Ryon's color separation but I'm fixing his color separation the shoes and socks and I'm separating more sprites, he separated 325 sprites more or less and I separated a lot more sprites like 140 more or less and fix his color separation.

Let me tell you 3 things:
1.-One thing is that you are accustomed an extensive color separation and other is a normal color separation.
2.-I won't do it because you don't like, the color separation that you search, a lot of users ask a commision for an extensive color separation and I do free.
3.-One thing is a advice and other ask, why don't do it yourself? and save me time to separate and making the rest of chars.

Well, I would have said, that seperating the hair of chest and the legs would make sense, since you also seperate his beard and head hair...

Are you using POTS's .sff as a base?  I only ask because it would save you some time.  His has everything separated your anim does, save for the pants.
   
Zangief CS looks good.  IIRC, I tried separating his chest and leg hair and it looked kind of weird unless it were close to his skin tones anyway.

Yes I used the pots .sff as a base, I separated the pants and belt, well and fixed some sprites that were wrong.

Yes me too, is because I'm not sure if separate the chest and legs hair only looks fine if tones is similar or same at the skin.

Maybe leave it to a poll.

In my experience in trying to make a CvS-like Zangief I know that the only way that separating the body hair is going to look right is if you do two separations. One for the main hair color and a second for the antialiasing.

The only problem is that separating those antialiasing pixels will be very tedious to do on a whole character.

Separating the anti-alias is way too much guesswork. Separating the hair itself and trying to make it look consistent would be far way easier (and that´s saying a lot cause that´s difficult). It would look better that way definitely but how it would look with just the hair separated and the anti-alias the same color as the skin?? wait...

That doesn't look bad at all. That should work well enough so long as the hair color is at least a little darker than the skin color.

You could pull off any beard color, besides warm yellow, with that effectively. That means no Big Bear. Plus yellow beard or facial hair never works, it blends too much with your standard skin color.

Separating his leg and beard hair with Aldo's method lets you mess with some of the aliasing further, giving you some more options.

It obviously doesn't look as good as Drex's example, but the cost/benefit is there.

I don´t think his beard show have a different color than the hair in his body. If something should have an independent color it should be his mohawk. That´s what I think. Or also if you want hairless legs, yeah that would be good.
