1.  The game takes insanely long to load because it's in a massive EXE file.  It also runs slow.

2.  The spriting is still messed up.  Backgrounds are all blurred and it is impossible to distinguish character details anymore because of the so-called "hi-res" conversion.  Lines are jagged and appear to clash with the softened background in many cases.  Blanka is a perfect example.

3.  The pallets are terrible.  Ryu with green lips?

I just played some old Street fighters , like street fighter 2 turbo and street fighter alpha 1,2,3. And even on the fastest settings this game seems to be faster so that's really bad if you ask me  :-\
Besides that it really isn't high res, instead of doubling the pixels some shitty filters were used and everything looks blurred.
It still looks well average , just okay i guess but when i saw balrog's stage al blurred up , i insta deleted the game. If this was real high res at normal speed the game would have been great but for now it really needs some work and even though it's a beta i doubt it that this will be true high ress instead of let's use some filters and blow up the chars high res.

I don't normally post in here, but I have to defend this game against some of the negative feedback, this game is awesome and is totally worth downloading. I have never had so much fun playing a mugen created full game. The speed is perfect, the graphics are great and very colourful, and all the effects add a really nice touch. I love how you are graded for your performance, the combo system is great and the A.I is very challenging. Any street fighter fan should appreciate this project. Keep up the good work and I can't wait to see the final version.

Impressive work overall

If the chars were released individually, I'm sure the author would be praised as a hero!

But as other mentionned it doesn't meet the expectation for the name "sf2 hd remix", because the sprites and fx used are definately not from sf2. Gouken is totally awesome but he is sf3 style, so when he is fighting cvs style gouki, it doesn't look good.

I hope the author continues and eventually releases the chars individually.

^Those characters are not made by him they are just modified version of other creators characters. I think it's mostly Warusaki3's characters, the Gouken is by Alexlexus and the Dhalsim is by me. from what i tested he didn't do much but add the chain combos and change the sprites, and the button config for doing supers is changed but not consistent.

The modified cvs characters charge by hp+hc and dhalsim AND Gouken does so by mp+mk.

The modified cvs character have that mode where they glow yellow, whilst other characters don't have that mode, custom combo is not consistent, another thing is the juggling incompatibilies that makes this full game, just Modified sprites and cmd files.

Also dhalsim still has qcf*2 supers while the others is just doing the move normal with the addition of another kick or punch button.

A readme to give respect to original creators would probably be nice, what is most definitely needed is a move list. I also see no reason to molebox? this game.

there are as many good thing to this game as there are bad.  Love the overall of the game but it's too insane.  Game speed is way too fast even when set to the slowest speed.  Chars are impossible to defeat in arcade mode even in the easiest of the easiest mode.  Never made it pass second stage.  Also you need to fix the versus screen or better yet get a versus screen.  will wait for your next update. :sugoi:

[glow=black,2,300]It also uses Tatsu's Tsmugen. And the speed isnt nessessary 'speed'. Its the vism/excel code that is deactivated inside of the tsmugen addon. And the ai of course is from tsmugen as well. Having vism on the whole time doesnt make it a balanced game. So basically, everyone is "super, god, and broken" because of this. It also uses alot of my codes from Club-Syndicate. And I sure hope he gave credit. If it is moleboxed, that is a good thing so that ppl wont go to his site and get all the chars. They can go to all the original chars sites to get them. If it was not moleboxed, then that would be a problem....[/glow]

this is really cool compilation my friend who is very good at fighting games went thru it for about 2 hours and he loved it.   He beat the game on Hard 8 but it took him that long , Akuma and Ryu were the hardest for him.  Suprisingly, gouken was to easy for him.
It seemed to me that mugen is harder on medium 3 than hard 8..  is that the way it always was?

Most of you are moaning when this is better than anything any of you have ever done.

Amits work is awesome.

I hate the exe file but i love the game,and for those moaning its slow...your pc sucks.

I run this on my crappy 4 year old laptop at full speed so you lot must have old windows 95 machines or something.

The games awesome and the best Mugen so far.

NOW GET RID OF YOUR EXE! i dont wanna steal your characters! just edit bits for my liking.

You obviously didn't read the thread, the characters are not made by the person who made this "full game". They're made by other authors who have nothing to do and no knowledge of this "full game".

2 years old? damn you got ripped of. That is a shitty ass pc, you don't even have a single core at 3.0ghz and 1 gig of ram.

I dont know how u guys can play such crap compilation, I cant believe the author spend time editing all the sprites for this shit.

ugly blurried sprites and characters dont go for a specific gameplay, its all unbalanced and ugly except for the character select screen.

A beta should have less characters and more about the game mechanics and this is on beta 2 and the author didnt noticed how ugly the sprites are?
And considering he didnt made any of the characters, this turns the word ''beta'' an excuse for it failures.

Street Fighter One Upper its a perfect exemple of how a mugen game should be made, its fun, have the same gameplay for all characters and the game title matchs the game itself, maybe hes using Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix to get popularity  ;D

I thought it was a decent game. I moved the game from my external hard drive to my main hard drive and I no longer had lag issues.

1: Crappy filtered sprites HD does not make.

2: The characters are stolen from various creators, and in no way resemble ST gameplay.

3: Compilation != Full Game

I tried it out. Its pretty decent compilation. Select screen is awesome and I like the lifebars. Gouken looks really bad. Overall I had fun, which is what we play Mugen for. I feel sorry for the people that can't have fun while playing mugen and worry about hitsparks and balance.

I tried it out. Its pretty decent compilation. Select screen is awesome and I like the lifebars. Gouken looks really bad. Overall I had fun, which is what we play Mugen for. I feel sorry for the people that can't have fun while playing mugen and worry about hitsparks and balance.

It's also fun to like crappy compilations.

yeah it is. You don't have to be worrying about whether the timing of the moves is right or if the hit box or whatever are aligned. You guys should lighten up and have fun. Its like the stupid xbots and sdf who worry about which game is better on which platform. Oh noes its not 720p! Yeah well it has better particle effects!haha sad.

Graphic is awesome. I've never seen a MUGEN-game with such Hi-Res-Graphic. How did you manage that? Thought MUGEN only supports 8bit sprites.

Is there a unpacked version available to add own chars?

Well if you want you could just go download Warusaki's character since most of them are his i think and the graphics are crappy filtering doesn't exactly make a character hi res

First of all I didn't make the game , the author is Amit (http://amit.dabydeen.com/mugen.html), and if you ask me he worked a lot on those sprites . Second thing ... I guess he made the exe file to protect his work , the game is not done yet so maybe will be "read me" inside , he said that was a sprite edit and some gameplay changes.

This is the second best mugen game ( in my opinion ) after Capcom vs Snk 2 Hi res By ..a japanese guy :) i don't remember the name

I've failed to unpack the exe file to get that ryu

I only found a normal (non-hi-res) version of CvS2. Where is the hi-res-version available?

I'd like to know how to add hi-res-characters.

The characters of Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo HD look smoother than the one in  CvS2

Those sprites are only in this game, but are unreachable because the game is moleboxed, molebox meaning everything the game needs is contained into one uncrackable .exe file.
