This pack includes:
-Announcer.
-10 New Challengers English voices and essentials.
-Old cast Ultra 2 English voices.
*Japanese Voice Pack is in the works*

Not the best rips so make sure to read the ReadMe to see why and what to notice.

-Hits, Swings, Grabs, Fall Downs ect.
-Special and Ultra sounds.
-Character specific moveset sounds.

Sharing Red Cliff and Perfect World MMORPG sound packs.

XBOX360 and Dazzle to capture them and Audacity to edit them as best as I could. For RC and PW I used pwpack to extract the sounds from the core file. Thanks for the compliment.

I just did sound fx this pack. I was thinking about doing new characters voices but I didn't get around to it. I can try to see what I can do tonight because I think it's doable. Lightmatt here did English Cody pack so he probably has a few packs and ofcourse Chosis whos done an amazing voices pack could be of service though I am not sure if he did SSF4 yet.

Overall I think SSF4 sounds will be widely used very very soon. :D

Lightmatt here did English Cody pack so he probably has a few packs.

I only did Cody(And I named most of his files with random banging on my keyboard), and I ran out of DVDs so I can't do much more ripping. :S

Seems I will be able to get SSF4 new character voices after all. I'll give it a go right now.

Wait this means I have to play the game with all the new cast in order to unlock PA's and WinQuotes. I've only done so with Gen gah lol. Long process. :D

Seems I will be able to get SSF4 new character voices after all. I'll give it a go right now.

I record myself playing training with a DVD recorder. (Capture cards would be better)

Since the game doesn't turn the BGM all the way off I tried to edit them the best I could, If I could still hear the background, I used the noise removal, and took a sample of the bgm(Click "get noise profile") and it'll remove a good amount of the BGM, but chances are it'll still be there just not as noticable. I haven't found a ideal stage that'll have the least influence on the overall product, but I know the "China town-ish" stage is a bad stage to rip, since the tone of the BGM shifts alot.

If you're still confused I could try making a tutorial something to clear things up.

Ah ok so you do the same thing as me. I use Dazzle and Audacity. I am getting really good captures right now, really crisp and unlocking taunts and such won't be that hard, apperantely I can just play and exit untill I have everything unlocked.

DVD's shouldn't cost that much. Me and my dad get 100 pack of DVD+R at Walmart or Staples for 20 bucks. But yeah this way the game is silent and only plays what you set which is cool. Definately get Dazzle. Best 50 bucks you will ever spend.

Pre prep work is going great so far. I can cut down the time I get taunts by doing 2 player versus and quiting to character select. Only 10 new characters so it's not that bad.

Thanks man. Anything resource or related to Mugen I am serious about :D

I will have trouble getting announcers Super/Ultra combo finish captures because of death cry from p2. As best as I can do is a pick a pretty quiet ultra finisher and hope for the best. Apart from that it's going really smooth.

I'll fool around with different Supers and Ultras and see if I can get away with pinning the sound by itself.

Are you wanting the announcer to exactly "Ultra/Super Combo Finish!", because I'm getting other bits like, "Beautiful!" or "That finishes it ladies and gentlemen!"

When you say files, do you mean the extracted sound files or the actual files from the game?

Man, if Chosis did it... then wow, i'd come.
But here's hoping Master LaQuak comes through. The other rips he did were good.

Yah I'd like to have Super/Ultra combo finish sound as well in this pack.

Chosis sound were really on point but iirc he used pc version which would be better for this as they hold the raw file. I am just capturing the sound, but on a side note I think they are coming out really smooth. I also have an idea of why you want this. If I am right, and I usualy have a pretty good hunch on things then thats hot! :D

I was able to get as much of the announcer as possible. I still need to figure out how to get a clean "Super/Ultra combo finish" and I forget if he says "Draw Battle". Today I'll see if I can get the missing announcer sounds and work on English pack of the 10 new characters sounds. Tommorow, if today goes well, I'd like to do Japanese pack and day after tommorow I'd like to finish up editing the raw files. Also I figure I may as well capture SF4's cast Ultra 2 sounds aswell.

Sadly I know for a fact the pack may end up missing a few sounds here and there but this can play as a place holder till PC version hits. This little side project made me stop working on my Master Yang but it's cool because I want to use SF4+ effects on him anyway so it's worth it.

I'm not sure where the raw files I used for the SF4 packs came from, it was either 360 or PC.  To whoever said they had the raw files, if they have the extension .aax I can convert them.

Last week of semester for me right now.  I'll see how much free time I have over my break before I commit to ripping shit for Super.

Dude, those updated rips are freaking sweet.  :sugoi: Did you somehow manage to disable the bgm? Coz I swear in the Juri rips you can only hear her voice.

Disabling the BGM is as easy as going to the options and turning it off, same with the sound FX :\

uh... in which one is that? IIRC, you cant disable it in any of the versions, only turn the volume down, not off.

Turning the volume all the way down in options menu will still play a light sound in the background which can be fully nulled out by playing a song from a HD and eather setting the volume all the way down on the player or just pausing the track, that causes the bgm to be fully nulled out.

I am also glad about the GetHits and how they came out. I captured all the GetHits using Barrel Buster challenge. It worked perfectely because when barrels hit they don't have a hit sound so only the character plays their respective GetHit so thats pretty win as I was worried about getting clean GetHits and thats the 100% way with this capture method.

Right now I am working on Japanese sounds. I got old cast Ultra 2 sounds so far so I just need to work on the new cast. I have alot of days of this week so I'll be able to get alot of work done.

Ibuki is actualy finished with all her raw jap voices so I just need to edit them, then work on the rest of the cast. I haven't had much time with this do to a few personal life matters but after things calm down I'll get right back into this and finish it up.

For the english version? Could I have really forgoten those? I'll recheck. I have the japanses sounds ready to edit but even with noise removal they sound a little bit off but Layer ripped the sounds from the core file so they should be alright. I'll probably just end up uploading mine as well for completion. I'll recheck the english voices.

Brilliant work with what you have there.

I really hope you can find a way of getting some of the missing announcer sounds as I really want "KO" and "You win!" clips.  I have the SF4 announcer files but I prefer the SSF4 announcer on so many levels :-)

Could anyone possibly rip the Japanese rival battle voices please?  Layer hasn't done them and doesn't seem willing to do so.  :(

Hey I just updated the pack and added AnnouncerKO sound. Nothing really major but I forgot to add it.

That would be a really long process for me to do with the capture method because of the hit sounds playing in the background, as the characters rival speak when they hit their opponent so that may be hard to edit. The best and easiest way would be is to extract them from the source file, this way you get clean rips. I could try to download the bootleg and see what I can do but I can't make any promises as of yet.

Oh absolutely I would only try from the source file.  To get your fighter to say everything during a rival battle is bad enough when you're playing, but to get your rival to say everything is a giant headache that doesn't even begin to compare.

Thanks for your reply LaQuak.  Hopefully Layer or someone else who already has it on hand can help since you're busy with other portions anyway.
