Huh? You don't know? The story is pretty popular.

Basically, Capcom switched the names to avoid getting sued by Mike Tyson due to Boxer's japan name being Mike Bison.

Personally, I think this little name switching benefitted Claw the most since Vega is definitely more fitting for a spaniard than Balrog.
