TagIn

------------------------------------------------------------

Changes the state number of the player, and that of the player's partner.

Required parameters:

  none

Optional parameters:

  stateno = state_no (int)

    state_no is the number of the state to change to.

  partnerstateno = state_no (int)

    state_no is the number of the state to change the partner to.

  ctrl = ctrl_flag (int)

    ctrl_flag is the value to set the player's control

    flag to. 0 for no control, nonzero for control.

Example:

  none

Notes:

  Crashes if no partner present.

  Use a "NumPartner" trigger to compensate.
While browsing at Mugen sctrls docs, I have found it and turn my attention into it.
When I read it, one thing comes in  my mind, it's that its function as changing of partner like the one on MVC series.
Am I right? Or not?
If not, why?  ???

Thanks For Any Help!!!

I dont have any docs containing this state controller, anyway I tested it and it actually works!
TagIn works like a changestate for you AND your partner.

well it doesn't crash mugen so it works for something.

I also tested something the opposite of it:

Tagout

tagout doesn't crash mugen either so it must do something? you should test it out MikeDaBike, i can't be bothered ;P

i mean it made sense to try "tagout" right? tagin,tagout :P

makes you think what else are we missing. i hope this can work with a helper that has player type, i guess i should test it to see if it really works, even though the docs say a helper won't be considered a player; maybe the player option is an exception.

I mean i looked at jesuszilla's zero helper sctrl yesterday to help somoene adjust his super damage and i saw "helpertype=Projectile" is that legal?

Loganir's Thor has this. I think there's something somewhere regarding setting up tagging. Problem is you HAVE to take ctrl of the extra character.

In M.U.G.E.N there is no magic button

They say a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, but it's not one half so bad as a lot of ignorance.

Helper
------------------------------------------------------------

just reading through i wonder if someone could explain this to me.

A helper type of 'proj' is also avilable.

proj obv = projectile, but how does it effect the helper sctrl?

i realise when reading through the docs that if helper type = normal it will be allowed to travel off screen, if its player it will be "constrained" to the screen and the camera will follow... so if helper type is proj, would it have the same sorta rules as normal? being allowed off screen.

EDIT: please ignore that post  --; just read what pots said lol
