It's about balancing the gameplay.
If you give a red CLSN on the whole weapon and stop the blue one on the end of the hand, the character will be overpowered, since he will always win when trading hits. Sure, in reality, a character shouldn't be hurt when his weapons gets hit, but he should still be balanced and have a disavantage for having such a long range.

Actually that's just the perspective. The point of hitbubbles it to secure contact on regions in a three-dimensional plane. Taskie does have said gap, but it matters little on where it is unlike what it'll get hit by.

All things considered, I see nothing wrong with that hitbox outside of the top.

But that's game-specific. In UMVC3, Hiryu has collision data that somewhat matches how he is in the older games, with hitbubbles reaching an extent of his cypher. Taskie's normals were meant to work in a way that trades were kinda impossible at the exchange of mediocre recovery on his normals, forcing him to either cancel into specials on block/whiff to stay safe or improvise escapes with Swing via some stupid easy blockstrings.

Yeah I realize, just reaffirming my belief the mvc3 hitboxes are kinda lame, but youre right. The major problem and reason I posted that hitbox was that shit on the top

Based on the arc in (U)MVC3, the green area here should show what should be gone in order to both maintain faithfulness and avoid really dumb occurences without necessarily following any sort of universal standard or whatever.

Nobody can compair mvc3 hitboxes with mugen anyway,  none of the
Hitboxes in mvc3 have a blue collision box overlaping attacks like we do
In mugen.  What works in mvc3 (3d game/last gen consoles) might not
Work in mugen.  So in mugen that sword attack would beat everything else.

He just got updated from version .80 to .81 today. Says something like he has to correct some matter floating beaten Sting Sword master and permanent.

Most likely can, It's best to use "Training" to make sure Infinites can be recovered from, Karasai.
If I can't be the best, I sure as hell can be the worst.

Remapping a button in the cmd file takes less effort than typing this.

That sounded a lot less dick-ish in my head before I typed it, but seriously remapping buttons is one of the first things you see in the cmd file.

I wish the Heavy attack button was mapped to b instead of z
it feels awkward playing on game pad and having R1 as Heavy.
The only thing i really like of this is the char sprites.
He's a keeper because of the sprites, never know, I might use them
for something in the future.

I also read something on his website, something about overseas
creators please don't RAPE use my Trackmaster for making another version
because its a trial version...I think that's what it read.

Even so it's wrong because fall does not work that way in Marvel for a damn good reason as already made visible. What's even sillier is that the IMT template does at least have the launchers coded as a custom state as they're supposed to be so...yeah...

I'm also under the impression that people keep neglecting data from the game, do you guys know how PotS made his original characters? He actually studied every single game he referenced, down to the core. Doing this properly requires understanding how the original system was made, not just winging it.

I was talking about the fact that they were labeled "infinites."
I don't really care about whatever the author does about recovery working like Marvel or not, he can do whatever he wants.
Point stands that you can't just assume something due to its origin.
