This is a general Stage Development questions topic.
I haven't actively made content in about 4-7 years now. Back then, I used MCM for sprites and Fighter Factory to give images pallets. (Though some time later, I found Photoshop's options worked better, with less color loss.). So since I've been gone, there's Mugen 1.0 and 1.1 I see.

1.0, from what I've seen supports PNG in SFF2. (Transparent PNG too?) and doesn't allow stage scaling. 1.1 does. Is this correct?

Also. I picked up Fighter Factory 3 and pallet editing is a little more complicated for me to do there.

I'ma pick up Cybaster's stage tool and see what it offers (If it isn't for still images, or RGB separation)

So yeah. I'm just looking for some suggestions or some tips or anything at all. I've looked around without a whole lot of luck. Even a point in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Also. I've noticed the new KFM has some sort of integrated pallets? Because of it i'd like to use the older KFM, but if I could find a tutorial on how those work, that'd be fantastic!
