Special thanks to: The Magic Toaster. Without him this wouldn't have been made, he ripped the tile. All I did was rotate and adjust. Tamez: For teaching me this parallax method and the darkness overlapped sprites. Very simple but hard to make at the same time. Fucking parallax. Tried to make it as close to source as I could, the only difference is some of the tiles order may be a bit different, it's HR, and there's no shadow/mirror effect and there's no superjump. It's just the floor with the black bg. Maybe in the future I can do something for the mirror effect, I was thinking a screen with static animations in it rather than the mirrors. It's 1.0 compatible and it'll be on my site later this week. DownloadI may consider Tekken 1 stages. This will be the only Tekken 2 stage I will ever make because Tamez will most likely be making the rest if they're ripped. #TamezTekken22020
Ah man, this is great. If only it were possible to get the TV reflection thing in the background :LDownloaded none-the-less.
Thanks! Yeah, it'd be cool if there was a way. I still think a screen with a static anim would be cool, but that can be done in the future if i do a custom update. I could also consider a spotlight effect in this to resemble the shadow effect in T2.
I thou you where buried alive under the pile of games you just got these weeks U:Plenty simple (source simplicity?)
Thanks, xan! @ Cham, buried under WIPS not games, lol. But yeah this was one of the wips, I told Toaster i'd make it so I did. The source stage is pretty simple too, yeah. Except it has a mirror in the bg and a shadow effect.
Before downloading it, does the stage infinitely scroll?? Regardless, this is awesome. I always loved the music for this stage when I rocked Tekken 2 on my PlayStation back in the day.Come to think of it, Mugen needs more Tekken love. Thanks for sharing.

Yes it does, lol. Rugal's a great way of confirmation. Maybe when(if) i do that custom version i'll add some bounds. Thanks guys!
u.....u made devil kazuya stage?for years Ive waited and drooled for this day....Thank you very much G...

Very nice!GLB said, September 17, 2014, 02:19:23 amMaybe in the future I can do something for the mirror effect, I was thinking a screen with static animations in it rather than the mirrors. Why not add a screen with some T2 Devil Kazuya animations (win animations, intro)? Would love to see that.

God Press or moves of the like should have a code limiter for how long they'll head for a wall before just locking the screen. That aside though, very nice stage. Thanks for sharing. I hope more stages do get made from T2. Especially Baek's stage. If either you or Tamez make that stage, you will become a God among stage makers.

Yeah tons of work is put into ripping the tiles from this stuff. I commend Toaster & Tamez for even attempting to rip these stages.

I commend Toaster & Tamez for even attempting to rip these stages. Indeed. Just to give people out there an idea of how tedious this can be, essentially stages can be around 200 images, but not always individual images. For example, take a look at this ripped image, noticing the red section I boxed: This single image has 32 sections like the one in the red box. Each section has its own palette. So you have to rip it 32 times, separating out the parts that don't work from the ones that do. In the above example ONLY the section in the red box is right. I won't deny that it takes a lot of effort. That's why I said what I said lol. If anybody can get it done though, it'd be you guys. Just be sure to use Killing Hawk for the BGM and not Eastern Dance.
I hope you guys decide to make Lei's stage. It was one of the coolest stages there, with the Yin Yang logo on the floor, and the dark city backdrop, and mix it all with the awesome bgm ...
Markpachi said, September 18, 2014, 04:58:38 pmThat shit's crazy, Tamez. So how long does it usually take to make it look right?Eh, now that I have my pattern down not that long. I did 64 images earlier today. Just annoying saving the same image so many times. 128 more to go for Baek's stage, then arranging the floor pattern itself to be accurate to the source. DW said, September 18, 2014, 07:31:46 pmJust be sure to use Killing Hawk for the BGM and not Eastern Dance. I didn't really play Tekken 2 in the arcade much since Tekken 3 was out by the time I started getting into it, so I only have the home soundtrack. I might see what I can do though. It was one of the coolest stages there, with the Yin Yang logo on the floor, and the dark city backdrop, and mix it all with the awesome bgm ... Lei's stage will be last if it gets done. It has the honor of being the most complicated Tekken 2 stage, and it requires animated parralax. Which I am more than capable of handling, but I'd rather do the simpler ones first.
I'm just talking out the side of my neck. I already have the entire OST for this game, so it's all good. Good luck with everything. I kinda figured Lei's stage would be pretty complex, that's why I didn't mention it lol.
Good luck, Tamez. Thanks for the comments, guys. Like I said, this will be my first&only Tekken 2 stage ever though, unless I do a random collab in the future or something lol (this is also excluding the custom version of Devil Kazuyas stage I will be making eventually.)
I'm totally down for Tekken 3 stages if you plan on ripping the tiles and textures from that too Tamez.
If you ever get to rip the Tekken 3 stages, let me know as well,I want to make Paul's stage and Heihachi's as well
@NoZ: Be careful what you wish for. Enjoy your 311 and 203 piece puzzles, respectively. https://www.sendspace.com/file/q8oyqiNotes: The floor tile is the last image in each set, 1557 for Paul's set and 4821 in Heihachi's set. As for images 4619-4623 in Heihachi's set, I don't know what they're for because they're so small, but they belong in his set due to the way the files were setup. Good luck!
