The Regular Show/Adventure Time crossover. I think it airs Sunday nights at 4 AM in Japan.

uhh... guys.
back to the question please?
I know you guys don't watch tv that much since you have internet but I need some good answers...

This is still a cartoon board, so no need to moderate. That's our job.

MTV brought back Liquid Television. i liked the first episode, especially the gummy bears sketch. i didn't watch the rest yet.

Liquid Television was the shit back in the day. Man, this is bringing back some great memories. Aeon Flux was and still is some of Peter Chung's best work.

I also think I'm going with the crowd on my response here: While Cartoon Network isn't dead, it isn't what it used to be. I watched a lot of CN in the Powerpuff Girl/Dexter/Johnny Bravo days. Didn't the What a Cartoon Show also debut on CN?? That's where Seth McFarlane first introduced us to his talents through Larry and Steve.

So while CN isn't terrible or dead, it could do a little better. I do give them credit for trying new things like Rick and Morty, Steven Universe and Regular Show.

I got bored with Regular Show and Adventure Time and the main character keeps me from getting into Steven Universe. I'm actually into Teen Titans Go right now, it's so nuts and Looney Tunes.
I've actually quite liked what I've seen from Steven Universe so far.  It explores some really unique concepts about gender roles without being preachy about it.  Definitely one of the better cartoons out there right now, IMO.

And yeah, Teen Titans Go turned out to not be as terrible as it looked like it would be.  It's nothing amazing, but it can be pretty funny.

I really like the Gem ladies and the art design, I just can't stand Steven. He's just a huge barrier for me. It's one of those shows that I can appreciate that it's out there for kids, but just isn't for me.

The new Ninja Turtles has fallen into that trap for me as well unfortunately, the writing is just nowhere near as clever as it was in the first season.
If you close your eyes, your life a naked truth revealed
Dreams you never lived and scars never healed
In the darkness light will take you to the other side
And find me waiting there, you'll see if you just close your eyes.
If you just close your eyes.
If you just close your eyes.

You are easily a friend who I've never met. All of those cartoons are fucking awesome. Exceptional taste good sir. I'd also like to add in that RoboCop had a fantastic cartoon run when it was on Marvel Action Universe with Dino-Riders and Spider-Man. I'm seriously getting goosebumps typing this up!!

Robocop i should have mentioned too because that used to show on channel 4 with that older X men cartoon too if i remember right that Konami based their old arcade 4 player game off of. It was a line up er something on Saturdays. Dino Riders i totally forgot about. A friend of mine lil bro had the toys back then. That just reminded now of Saber Riders and sky commanders haha....damn good memories man!

Dude!! Marvel Action Universe had that on one day and I remember watching that on my... recorded VHS tape!! With playing the arcade game and watching the episode as much as I did, I never thought to have correlated the two together!! Gotta love Wolverine's extremely Canadian voice. And Magneto. Holy fuck Magneto was badass. I'll never forget his The world is mine line.

I feel the same way; the art direction, minor characters, non-steven related music...they're all good. But Steven is terribly obnoxious, he ruins a potentially great show.

For my part I think the major difference between before and now is that older cartoon even add a kickass opening

The only thing I think that's relevant about CN is Adult Swim and South Park. But that doesn't mean they're dead.

Of all the cartoons I grew up with, G1 Transformers holds up the best to adult standards. Thundercats, He-Man and the Turtles are hard to watch.
The Real Ghostbusters wasn't bad though....honorable mention.

Ren & Stimpy was the last kid cartoon that I could watch. I always did watch the Simpsons but I see them more as an adult cartoon that's kid friendly.

Of the more modern stuff...
Archer
American Dad
Family Guy
Transformers Prime (2nd best TF show behind G1)
Most of the DC and Marvel animated movies.
Ugly Americans

Uh, South Park doesn't run on Cartoon Network.  Referenced, but not actually on it.  Something they've made fun of a few times in Adult Swim's bumps, actually.

That looks pretty cool actually^^

Yeah for damn sure cartoons back then you broke your neck damn there to watch at the time. Thundercats, Voltron, TF...man so many. Then on Saturdays it was overkill. Get that nice big bowl of cereal and just sit there for hours watchin till noon lol

Kids today have some so so cartoons now but sadly theres really nothing. Anime is at its high point here in the US unlike back in the days. Some may disagree with me i think but american cartoons lack a lot of creativity now. shit be corny and stupid now unless its Anime smh. There are a few cool ones like Family guy. Boondocks, justice league and some others but back then?? Wow US was on a serious roll with the concept in cartoons. Like it was a battle on the best made US cartoons er something at that time...ESPECIALLY when the fall hit and we used to see those trailers of the NEW cartoons that were coming out in fall?? Aww man i loved seeing those commercials on TV. It was bitter sweet because you loved that there were new and hot cartoons coming but at the same time that meant BACK TO SCHOOL and summer was officially over  ::) lol

But anyway....

Even though this isnt a cartoon entirely (although there was the Power team cartoon for it)....All this talk about old cartoons made me think of this show. Im sure Saikro and some others watched it too and wanted to be on the show like me! LOL
