The Essential mugen stage collection

hm, i'm very limited with my stages as i usualy play the ones i know i like,

But what do YOU think is a obligatory stage to have just becauss it's that good?

There's one i sorta like, i dont have it but it looks great, it's a dryed out desert with a large skeletal frame of some creature in the background, but besides that my favourate stage has to be
the live house of the dark realm from darkstalkers.

Definetly must haves are (of course if u are a comic fan):

Lexcorp Bulding by Wucash & Led (for Lex Luthor Char)
Rykers Island Prison by Wucash (for Carnage Char)
All Stages by Loganir (also for some Marvel or DC Chars)

Some of Dresmasher's stages or EXShadow's stages (even if both overuse MK background sprites, and EXShadow's stages are sometimes too bright/shiny for my tastes.)

I think something's wrong with Dresmasher's site (I don't know if he moved of if it's just messed up), so I won't link there, but EXShadow's stages are usually found in Infinity Mugen's forums.

Works fine for me.

Also, while I do recommend dremsher's and EXShadow's stuff (even considering the general opinion), I'd have to add YUSUKE's, ziltima's, Shift b is B's, and Teros's stuff to that, IMO.

I guess I went to an old version of dre's page. However, I too shall recommend YUSUKE's, ziltima's, and Teros's stages. I can't say Shift b is B simply because I don't have any of his stages.

Though, if you don't mind a bit more configuration than usual for stages, there's always SyN's stages. He has some good stages, although most require you to add stuff into certain files (which he will explain in the download) just to get the most out of them.

I dunno, whenever I play with his stages, it feels like it's too much effort for interactivity that doesn't really amount to much. In his MKvsSF stage, for example, sure there's a breakaway floor that allows air combat, but nobody takes damage during it (and in some cases, they actually recover health), so what's the point?

The reason no one takes damage while falling is because he didn't want players dying in mid air (which would probably cause some kind of error or 10).

As for health regeneration, the stage isn't done yet.

I can't say Shift b is B simply because I don't have any of his stages.

His stuff is more if you're into somewhat edited Sonic stages, and others. His older stuff, not as good (2d floors, and some imperfect things), but later on, when he did Carnival Night Zone, that's when his stuff really got good. It's all scattered around the releases section though, so it's hard to search for them really.

yeah, people who make stuff edited from platformers (in general) don't get as much love as the latest HI RES GGXX RELOADED STAGE

Because these stages are to be used with OMG chibi JSS characters which don't get as much love as the latest OMG DARK OROCHI VIOLENT CVS CHARS.

While we are in the platformers case :
- Jango
- Shift b is B
- DiGi Jared
There are more, but those are the ones who come to my mind at first.

Surprised NOBODY has mentioned Sayajin Mui's collection.
Both his low-res and hi-res stages rule.
Then again, he's an instant plus in my book because HE USES STUFF FROM ELDER SCROLLS IV:OBLIVION. ONLY HE HAS THE BALLZ TO DO THAT.
