This really does look good. It's gonna be real cool to have a clean guyver for mugen. I think I would download this and keep it to. ;)

Ok, update time, here is an unfinished animation of The guyver doing his megasmasher, does it look good so far? did I get the orbs color right? should I add a frame or 2? sorry for the delay, I'll upload the finished version later tomorrow.

"An artist's responsibility is to be irresponsible. As soon as you start to think about social or political responsibility, you've amputated the best limbs you've got as an artist. You are plugging into a very restrictive system that is going to push and mold you, and is going to make your art totally useless and ineffective." --David Cronenberg

sorry for the double post

here is another update for Guyver 1's animations, his walking forward is done and I'm currently doing him using his HF blade as a Medium punch, i posted 2 at different speeds so you can see it more clearly.

Normal speed

slow speed

Walk forward animation (finished for now, I may change it in the future )

That walk animation looks strange, looks like he is injured or something.  I think you should try and go with the walk animation someone posted from another character on this post.

The overdrive move looks okay until he completely opens his chest. It looks like he is aiming at us and not at his opponent. So you need to angle it more. As for all the other animations, I know its easy to reuse parts of you already made sprites, but thats going to kill your animations in the long run. Dont be afraid to spend more time on the right movements. This isn't a race so take your time and ask for suggestion. That's what we are all here for... I hope.

If you want to reuse parts what you can do is take his head and make a lot of different angels. full front, quarter front, half front, going all the way around. looking upwards, downwards in different angles so you can have it ready. this can work well with any project. You have to take that further step in your animations so that it doing look stiff. Right now it kinda looks like a moving model rather than a character.

keep it up and youll get there. good luck

oh and if you are worried because you dont know how certain parts look like in different angles try and get concept art and if you have the cash to spare, id say get a guyver model that moves. this will give you more detail on how it looks.

Thank you very much for the feedback and support and yes, I am planing on taking my time with this since it is part of a bigger project I am developing with another forum in order to support the series. Here is an updated look at the Super move with a custom beam I'm doing for it. Also I will post a little concept art I just wipped up for the game I'm developing, some people have been asking for me to make Guyver 3 so it is possible I will convert him to mugen as well but only after I'm done with Guyver 1, Guyver 3 will have Sprites done but they will be very little in comparison at the start since they are for the game I'm making, if you guys are interested in the game then you can go ahead and find more info about it here:
