Mugen Web-browser updated to ver 0.99
still some stuff remains to be finalized but so far so good changes on this version include:
-Elecbyte page added
-Elecbyte faq page added
-Google-tan "spell check" will only appear during the google section of the stage, so you have to get the timing just right for the easter egg to show up
-Jango spyware is no longer a pop-up. its a full page browse-away from google
-URL changing code still needs to be added(sit tight on that one, it will probably be included in the final update
-ResetBg has been set to 0 so the intro doesnt loop every round anymore

YES.... that will be the first screen you will see as soon as the stage starts up....

afterwards you will be prompted if you want mugen to be your default web-browser, but dont worry.... it goes automatically to "no" and dissapears after a couple of seconds  ;P

although i did do my best to keep spamming issues on this browser, its still impossible to be a 100% protected so dont get mad if you start getting pop-ups :(

and more pop-ups....

...

I cant believe even random select is into these shady advertising practices  --;

well the elecbyte page is loading :P

wuuut...... no update, but a crappy faq? this sucks...

Jango its no longer a pop-up but a full page hi-jack!  >:(

well atleast the spell checking feature still works on it ^_^

probably one final update remains, unless people suggest more ideas. as always feedback is appreciated thanks
enjoy
P.S. link has been updated with most recent version of stage

thanks for the comments :)
im currently looking for ideas as to what sort of mugen related pop-ups to add.
feel free to suggest anything, if you have a pic of what you guys would like to see as a popup added the stage, then its even better ^_^
if you have a mugen site that you guys would like to see added as a pop-up added to the stage, feel free to say
just keep in mind i do reserve the right to make the pop-up the way i see fit depending on what will be easier/nicer looking for me to implement.

This stage does look excellent.

I personally have some suggestions:

-Make the logo the blue M found in the default MUGEN screenpack instead of the FireFox logo.
-Remove the floor, or re-scale the "window" so the bottom of the "browser" acts as the floor.
-Add some known websites not-MUGEN related, but helpful (example: Spriters Resource for sprites, KHInsider for music, etc.)
-Have an Alternate Low-Res version.

someone should make some kind of propaganda pic, with kfm pointing his finger and text saying "mugen wants you".

or if someone could dig up the suave man character (i beleive someone just resprited kfm to make it) and have him getting punched with a banner saying "have you had your D->DF->F+X today"
holy crap, i'm back and stuff... if anyone cares.

your stage still lacks one more special pop up, the fake elecbyte return XD

that randomselect "elite" thing is perfect XD

hmm, the elecbyte idea sounds real good actually  :sugoi:
you can count on a pop-up related to elecbyte next update
and speaking of updated it will probably be out soon. I am currently doing some re-tooling to the stage so i can add/do some more crap
i have in mind >:D

one of them will be the ability to "browse-away" from google among other goodies

yes,
probably will set up a "blank template area on the sff
where people can add their own sprites to make a pop-up... though that is all tentative at this time
i can set a "commented out" snippet of code where people can activate it at their choosing if they add a custom sprite, etc
I hope thats what you mean for a "theme" :P

looking at that last screenshot i just had to check it out at elecbyte's website, and is it just me or does the F.U. attitude of their FAQ make it seem like a hoax... i have a feeling this is common knowledge. (hey, i'm a newb, leave me alone)

but on a serious note, the stage could start getting crouded if too much is done to it, unless thats what you want to go for, because its starting to look like the bad ol' days of dialup when popup blockers were nonexistent. it makes me chuckle at how much we used to put up with when we use to surf the net back then.
holy crap, i'm back and stuff... if anyone cares.

For the time being a low-res version will have to wait until im done with the Hi-res version(and sadly it will not even look this good, which is why i chose to make it Hi-res in the first place)

Running in the 90's is an excellent choice for this.
