After seduc...um convincing my favourite Global Mod, he said that this thread could be made!

Here's what we know:

-Cel shaded graphics. Looks like a much better version of the style used in the Skyward Sword PVs.
-Large "open-world" like game. The world is huge. You can apparently travel to any location on the map at any time.
-Full camera control. Last seen in Wind Waker/GCN Twilight Princess.
-Horse riding returns. Last seen in Twilight Princess. Your horse has some AI that allows it to travel with minimal player input (dodging obstacles and such), allowing you to focus on other things like combat or surveying the area. Link can vault off his horse and attack enemies (with his bow at least)
-Link's appearance is slightly different to how he appears in other Zelda games. He wears a blue tunic, has no hat and has longer hair tied in a ponytail. Sometimes he is seen wearing a hooded cloak.

Things said during development:

-Game will be less linear. Such a thing was intended for Skyward Sword, but wasn't able to be done.
-Some Zelda gameplay traditions may be changed
-Possible multiplayer aspect
-Slated for 2015 release

That game looks pretty good. The gameplay trailer gave me a strong "Shadow of the Colossus" vibe ... and I like that.

Yep, this is looking entirely too good.
I am definitely looking forward to it.

This game looks so great, I cannot wait to start exploring the area, my only concern is that they make the game world really empty or something, but we don't enough info to know one way or another yet.

My biggest gripe was mentioned in the other thread about link being right-handed for no reason.

There are a lot of reasons now to get a WiiU.

What they think they found is the Great Bridge of Hylia, not the Bridge of Eldin. There are two big bridges in Hyrule Field in Twilight Princess. The one I mentioned is just above where they think Lake Hylia would be.

Don't worry about it. That analysis is interesting. I don't think that Link will get a green tunic and hat in this game though (or at least the hat) because that would clash with the hood that he wears.

It wouldn't be Zelda without the hero's tunic though!

Gameplay wise if this is anything like Link Between Worlds or even better in terms of freedom which it sounds like it will be, I'm pretty hype.

I would suspect the blue outfit's his starter gear until he gets to the point where things get serious and then his usual attire will show.  Though maybe they'll have different outfit choices in this one?  In case people like the new blue one, or the green's not supposed to show but people want to have Link in it anyways?

Eh, for some reason I'm not that excited about it.  This is the one they mentioned they took lessons from Skyrim in making if I'm recalling correctly, and I kinda had enough wandering ever-sprawling plains for about a decade or so.  I preferred Twilight Princess' darker tone anyways.

Still, will keep an eye on news for it.  Zelda's still Zelda, hard to go too wrong there.

Miyamoto wasn't willing to say much about the next Legend of Zelda [...] but he noted that "one of the things we're working on right now is that, as you play, the world will change and be affected by what you choose to do."
It's not much in today's games, but it's definitely new for a Zelda (assuming it's more than the surroundings of a temple after beating it, or the Oracle games). Although, with the knack for side quests, I hope it still makes sure that there aren't stuff that can never be done anymore if you missed them and triggered something unexpected. I hate it when that happens in exploration games.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

I'm wagering that while that isn't a new thing in Open World games, the fact that it's part of a Zelda game is huge. If it's anything like how it sounds, it'll be a much more engaging Overworld environment along with the dungeons, which I think will be incredibly interesting.
