I bought the deluxe set (I mainly picked it up for the next Smash Bros game).  Not sure how much time I'll have to try it out since I've been having to put in mad overtime hours at work (plus I've been working on a MUGEN project on the side).

I picked up the delux one yesterday morning for my daughter, (and us lol), but gotta wait until christmas until she opens it. I was hoping someone had it and can share their experience with us.

I found a Wii U demo-station at the Gamestop.

Which means I can sample at least their controllers.

Amazingly enough, it is ALOT lighter than what I thought it might be.

Yeah and with no games really worth playing on it there really is no reason to rush out and buy one. ZombiU and Scribblenauts Unlimited were maybes, but why do that when Scribblenauts is on Steam with Steam Workshop support and ZombiU looking very disappointing? Hopefully by Bayo 2s release all of this will be fixed and I can pick one up without trouble.

Well, at least they're rushing it out because OMG HOLIDAY SEASON. Also, I don't see how ZombieU doesn't look promising, I thought it was almost a selling point by itself, although probably not enough for many.

And while we're here discussing why there's no reason to buy a WiiU, Nintendo says the demand is phenomenal, there's already shortage, and they're expediting shipments which won't be able to fulfill the projected future demand.

Stock seems to be good, my store had plenty of people taken off the waiting list today. For me personally though I still want to play ZombiU, if not for the simple fact I'd give any zombie game a try and it's described as "Dark/Demon Souls: Zombie Edition".

ZombiU has been hit or miss with alot of people. They say it's more like older RE games and SH as far as gameplay goes, it's mostly about content instead of engaging gameplay, but I've been trying not to spoil myself so I know little.

Thing is, most people panning the game play it like an FPS and not a survival-horror game.

The most prominent complaint I've heard about the game is the cricket bat. It takes forever to kill anything, apparently, which is odd considering they can one shot someone IRL with a well placed swing.
