It's polarizing. none of my friends nor I enjoyed it very much, but a lot of people really enjoyed it.

Moreover to that, it solely depends on how you define Zelda. For the sake of elaboration and food for thought, Egoraptor happened to hit the mark more than I ever could. That being said, whilst I enjoy story elements it's hard to disagree with the notion of it being Zelda's gameplay deterrent, personally.

Yeah, I was going to state why I don't like the game, but I didn't want to start some ridiculous argument with someone who likes the game as I've done on other forums.

im gonna call ocarina of time bad, but i will do it as a cartoon that compared to the real life counterpart is missing at least two chins

Goddammit, I love you.

Egoraptor was only funny to me in Metal Gear Awesome... and even then that was back in high school.

With SS keep the Zelda cycle in mind and form your own opinion since every single Zelda game is someone's favorite and someone else's least favorite.

I don't think SS was bad.
Admittedly, I haven't actually finished playing through it yet, but what I've played of it so far was enjoyable.

He's right on most of his points but after seeing it again I think he's being too hard on the game.

Nah, my post wasn't some kind of flamebait. I was genuinely curious about the previous comment because in some way or another I heard bad things about some Zelda games I like, but not for this one. On the other side, everyone hates Spirit Tracks, right? RIGHT? (I couldn't finish the darn game).

I couldn't finish it either, controls turned me off of it, I was able to beat phantom hourglass, but trying spirit tracks right after made me get tired of the control system really fast. That and I lost my save data for the game and had to redo about half the game, so I just quit.

I don't know why Egoraptor doesn't like the game as I've never watched any of his videos but the main reason I don't like the game is because there is very little exploration outside of the main quest, like I know you're thinking "no more then OOT and TP!" but I think even they had more exploration because there were secret grottos and caves in those games but there are none in SS. I never realised how much I enjoyed them until they were gone, because of that the little optional exploration in that game that there is feels very obvious, because it is literally all about finding cubes that are very visible and out in the open.

I'd like to point out that I was able to 100% the game in like 40 hours (maybe less, IDK) on my first play through without a guide, because everything was obvious and easy to find. In contrast, I still need a guide to find all the heart pieces in ALTTP, OOT, TP, MM and WW because some of them are very well hidden, mostly in random caves I would never think to go in and find, because I'd have to blow up a random hole in the ground or something. (or Dig a hole as the case would be in TP)

Technically if you play a game for what it is and not what its sequel is, the game isn't actually missing anything. :P

I prefer the Zelda games as they are and not as the same as the first game but with better graphics.

My favorite part about any Egoraptor sequelitis is the drinking game I've proposed.

Take a drink every time he complains about games telling him what to do for every time he gets lost in Wind Waker because he skips all the text and gets himself lost. He has more ADD than I ever thought imaginable in someone who talks about "proper game design"

To be blunt about him, he's stupid.

It has been more than 4 years since I played Spirit Tracks. The Game's final boss Malladus wasn't that hard. It just needed to be more challenging. I believe this was one of The Games with Link having a strong connection with Zelda. Other than that, The Game has some Excellent music wich I liked.

I'm really upset that the new Link is right-handed like Skyward Sword Link even though the game appears to be gamepad-only. This is complete bullshit Link is left-handed, it's canon, it's unfair >:[

I barely finished Phantom Hourglass and avoided Spirit Tracks because the former was so lackluster. Was Spirit Tracks really worse?

as for Skyward Sword, I dunno, I think I like it more than Twilight Princess. SS, even with some less than stellar design choices, at least felt like it was trying out a lot of new things; TP just felt like a retread of what had come before, even if it explored its concepts better and in a more thought out way than SS and also Midna is so much better than Fi (but I don't think is Fi terrible like the internet does, she's fun, she just interrupted things way too much!). I think they're both good games but definitely not among the best of Zelda.
