I'm really upset that the new Link is right-handed like Skyward Sword Link even though the game appears to be gamepad-only. This is complete bullshit Link is left-handed, it's canon, it's unfair >:[

Except Link's not left handed or right handed. He's ambidextrous. The most that was said in a Zelda game is that he prefers to use his left hand. Besides the direction of the new Zelda game seems to be this and he's holding his sword in his right hand:

Spirit Tracks is good. It's better than Phantom Hourglass. I feel the same about Skyward Sword and Twilight Princess as Jmorphman does, except I think I like Fi more than Midna (her talk about the leopard print underwear is silly and I like that).

I'm weird in the fact that I don't like the first Zelda game or a Link to the past. Probably due to the fact that I played them after Ocarina of Time. Also I'm one of the few who really likes Zelda 2.
Is a mess. :gonk: Needs sexy new coding to go with sexy sprites.

That's just after the fact justification! Link's left handed >:[

Woah, no, you don't hold your sword by the sheath with your dominant hand, if anything the top left picture shows that he was already left handed. You're not going to switch hands before pulling your sword if you need it, you're going to draw the sword with your dominant hand while the other holds the sheath.
If I struggled to the end of my determination, to the end of my way of life with my followers, if the result is ruin, then this ruin is inevitable. Grieve. Shed tears. But you cannot regret.

^ Exactly. He's in position to draw his word with his left hand.

I barely finished Phantom Hourglass and avoided Spirit Tracks because the former was so lackluster. Was Spirit Tracks really worse?
Well, the train mechanics were boring for me. There was more repetitive stuff to do than in PH (like those sequences where you went deeper and deeper inside the temple) and overall didn't engaged me so much.

I'll try to play it again and see if something changed, tho.

Link doesn't hold his scabbard while he fights (but you already know that). I know that particular Link (the first game's one) uses his sword with his left hand (I guess, sprites don't really like those sorts of things) and he's usually depicted as such in other games.

I just wonder if there's a meaning to him being right handed in this game.......

Also maybe we should make a Zelda thread? I think Zelda is a series of games that deserves its own thread.

Nail on the head. Not every Link is the same and the Skyward Sword Link is canonically a right handed swordsman.

Link is only right-handed when motion controls are there because people are usually right-handed.

Remember how he was left-handed in the GC Twilight Princess but right-handed in the Wii version?

The entire game on the Wii was mirrored for that.
